Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted January 1 Popular Post Posted January 1 My week in pictures. We had a great week in Zermatt. Skied down the Swiss side of the mountain 3 days and the Italian side of the mountain (Cervinia, Italy) for 2 days. Every day there were multiple Apres parties going on on the mountains. People here love to drink as they ski. Smoked some great cigars. And we toured an igloo hotel. We chose not to stay there but it was a great place to have a few drinks. Tomorrow we pack up for our next few days in Geneva. 21

Popular Post joeypots Posted January 27 Popular Post Posted January 27 First western ski trip this season. Snowbird and Alta Utah with a club. Just enough snow and yet again we left as an 18” dump was winding up. Oh well. The time with my skiing haram made it all worth while. 17

Popular Post Lamboinee Posted January 30 Popular Post Posted January 30 Indoctrinating some of the new interns and associates in the qualities of CC's. Workplace bonding at its best. I didn't really feel old till I took a pic with a bunch of green peas. 8
Popular Post Fosgate Posted January 31 Popular Post Posted January 31 Been Good and Bad. The bad side, lost a friend a little over a week ago. He was 70, super nice guy and fun to be around. He was supposed to go ride with us but skipped and decided to go by himself on the weekend. Didn't get his snowmobile unloaded and they found him dead of a heart attack by his truck. But you know, there are worse ways to go. He at least passed away going to go do something he loved. We just wish some of us would have been there with him so he wasn't alone. Wife and I had a great day out the day he was supposed to join us. On the plus side, got to go out with a couple family members as we went about teaching his 15 year old son how to ride the big machines. (The one upside down being righted up by 2) we had to put him back on an older machine he was used to though because us old guys started getting tired after getting him unstuck about the 11th time. Next day was super cold for the vintage snowmobile show and ride. Many (including us) found our vintage sleds would not fire in the cold so we just rode the new iron. I went out another day with a friend. Had a great time out until I hit a tree stump out in the woods. Had him drag my sled close to a trailhead while I walked about 3 miles, at dusk, in murder cat and wolf territory without so much as a sharp stick to defend myself. Then had to ride on the back of his sled, not designed for 2 riders (Thank god for padded bike shorts), for 30 miles. I was so sore from that. Took us 2 days to drag it the rest of the way out. 12 4
Popof4 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 So sad to lose a close one. I know the feeling well. Skip the guilt though, I'd bet my last breath he wouldn't have wanted you to be there and suffer that. Enjoyed your pics.

chasy Posted February 7 Posted February 7 The fact that you’re smoking a cigar inside, during dinner, with co-workers blows my mind. Good for you and looks like a festive evening into morning 😉 3

Good for you and looks like a festive evening into morning 😉 Outside of the import tax / prices, China is a primo cigar smoking country. My buddies and I joke you can basically smoke anywhere except at the Hospital. Even then... the 50 RMB ($6.83) punishment might be worth it if you were really jonesing 😅 2 2
