Li Bai Posted August 17 Posted August 17 The weather here in France has been awful, too much rain... Only a fair amount of figs, plums and pears, a little bit of strawberries and raspberries but that's pretty much it.

I thought it died over the winter. There was only a 1' dead twig where the tree was. Out of no where it rose like Lazarus. We are zone 6 and this Italian fig tree is suppose to make it through, so far it has. I don't know if the figs will be consumed by birds before I get to them. I hope not. I plan to dehydrate what we do not eat fresh. 7

We had the most wonderful fig tree in our backyard until 8 years ago, such a shame we had to cut it down when we expanded our house but we planted cuttings right away. The tree was from a cutting itself and lots of other cuttings were given to friends and neighbours over the years, each one of them gave birth to an incredible tree giving dozens of kg of figs twice a year, year in year out. What an amazing tree 😍, I hope you have the same luck with yours 🤞 8

My other fruit trees (pruned a few times a season) are all branching out well so far (this is the 3rd season). I don't plan to prune them again this season. 1

Popular Post riderpride Posted August 31 Popular Post Posted August 31 Hike on Prairie Mtn last week with the 6 year old. 8.4kms with ~700m elevation, and other hikers were shocked with his performance. We ended up less than 100m from the summit till he got hungry. The mission was to have fun, so we turned around and went to lunch. We're revisiting this weekend 21

Popular Post westg Posted September 20 Popular Post Posted September 20 At one of the most remote Australian mine sites I have ever been too. A gigantic BHP demobe. You do not drive through this place to get anywhere. It is baron isolated and through out the course of the day just brutal. Early mornings however....so beautiful! Lands of the Ngaanyatjarra people. 12 1

It is mind blowing to see the amount of money piled in. And then brought to a grinding halt. At least for a year or two. 1
