Had dinner with an old colleague last night and he brought a couple 2010 Bordeauxs to drink side by side. Both were quite good, the Baron Pichon took a bit longer to open up but really showed well. I preferred the Leoville Poyferre though.

Was in Malibu California for a cousin's wedding and to visit my Godfather. Really beautiful place to visit. Here are some pictures from my Godfather's house. It's about a 3 mile assent from the Pacific Coast Highway to his house. Felt like a Tour de France summit! The views are spectacular with no neighbors or noise. They have all sorts of succulent plants around the property.

The assent to their house. A near private road with only a handful of homes. Part of it wasn't even paved years ago.

Various succulents on their property. Lots of work to keep from getting close to the house.

Some views from their yard. I think on clear days you can see Catalina Island.
