Popular Post joeypots Posted March 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 22, 2023 Peanut butter and bacon waffles at the top of Rendezvous Mountain, 10,450 Feet, in Corbet’s Cabin at the Jackson Hole Ski Resort in Wyoming. With my good pal Dennis getting some fuel to conquer the Hobacks. For many this place is a bucket list ski area. It does demand respect and lives up to the hype. 11

The Elk maybe by a hair! 1

Have you never met a structural engineer, haha? I don’t think they can sleep at night unless they’ve built in a triple digit safety factor. In fairness though, this will be a 12 foot wall when done, and gets backfilled nearly to the top.

Oh I have. I'm in commercial construction. ( Yay me. See: sarcasm. ) Not cheaper to pour it? I figured for backfill but then again I don't know the cost analysis basis for your area. Do you have local sourced materials or is EVERYTHING shipped in?

It could have been poured, but the finish spec (where seen) is split-face block...here’s a photo on the front side showing the transition from interior wall to exterior. The block is made on island and so readily available, but of course the raw ingredients other than sand and water are shipped in, as is pretty much anything else needed for construction. 4 1

Popular Post Bill Hayes Posted April 15, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 15, 2023 To honour @El Presidente, Jon Rahm and the great Seve Ballesteros, I put together a Spanish inspired platter with Iberico jamon, Amitillado sherry, followed by some temeranillo. Si! TBH, I reckon I'm part Spanish, being a bitsa Irish ginger. Ha ha! PS. Vale and Happy Birthday Seve. 6

Popular Post GVan Posted April 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2023 Time to stock-up on pellets for the smoker. One half-ton of pure flavor: 5 - 40 lb. bags of Competition Blend (Maple, Hickory and Cherry); 10 - 20 lb. bags of Fruitwood Blend (Apple & Cherry) and my general favorite 30 - 20 lb. bags of Pecan Blend (Pecan and Oak). Hoping to do a lot of smoking this summer. The wife is in the background going - "you've got to be kidding me! Do your really think your going to use all that?" 12
