Great wedding weekend! My dad turns 90 in July, my mum 85 this year. They danced away until closing time.  Ben and Hattie were magnificent. My youngest Brother Rick (left) went "to town

Had a good fall steelhead trip recently. Went 13 for 13 on steelhead in 2 and a half days. Excellent weather! The young angler James was successful as well!

Went to Cuba, smoked good cigars, ate good food, saw cool stuff.

I went to the Charles Barbershop at Hongdae which is one of the top notch legendary old school barbershops in Korea yesterday. He was not only used scissors and shears exclusively to cut my hair (clippers for removing some stray hairs only) but also rinsed my hair thoroughly with a scalp scaling shampoo. He offered free face lotions service too and told me how to style a classic side part properly while styling my hair with extra care. Besides, its barber chair was so classy and comofortable that made me feel even more relaxing .

Although Charles Barbershop was quite far from my house (took approximately a hour to reach there by underground/subway), it was out of this world and legitmate 1hr+ OG  barbershop experience indeed 👍. For those who are staying in Korea and planning to travel to Korea, I highly recommend you to pay a visit this wonderful old school barbershop if you have a chance 🙂

Looking good 🫶

Good job from the barber.

Thanks buddy! Since he had a 54-year experience as a skilled barber and cut many famous people's hair including politicians too, I could count on him with huge confidence👍.

Although the price is quite steep [approx. ₩66000 ($47)] and I have to make a reservation by phone at least one month before, I'll definitely keep visiting this wonderful old school barbershop for my haircut as it's light years better than other barbershops that I went to in the past 😊

Took the wife to see Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden tonight.  He plays there one night every month, so I try to catch one every couple of years.  He puts on a great show.

That's excellent. Billy doesn't play guitar as a rule. I wonder if he brought it out for his song, "Matter of Trust" ?

just the wife and i, so we did sidesgiving and no bird. if we’re being honest with ourselves, aren’t they the best part?

It really is. We did sidesgiving in 2020 and it was the best!

first saw him in london back in he mid/late 80s. incredible he is still going. still with christy brinkley at that stage and she sat on the side of the stage for the night. incredible energy. brilliant concert. one of the very best. saw him again about five years later in sydney. he clearly was trying as hard as he could but the difference was so stark (they'd split by that stage). he was so bitter, had put on a heap of weight. just did not have the same energy. it was a shadow of the former concert. he tried but he'd lost it. be nice to think he has revived things but i have not seen him again since. i just can't imagine him ever getting close to the concert he gave us in london so i'd rather stick with that one, if that makes sense.

It makes sense, but he still puts on a great show.  I have seen him live in his younger days, and yes, he is not what he was back then, but if you take the show at face value without trying to compare, it is an amazing show.

My wife’s friend that was with us that night is dating one of the guys in the band.  She said they were going to Australia some time soon. I definitely recommend giving him another try.
