Popular Post JohnS Posted September 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2022 That's fantastic @El Presidente! I wish you were here with us right now having a Greek lunch in Greece. This was a day out on Friday on Salamis Island (Greeks call it Salamina) which is an island that is only 10 miles or 16km away from central Athens. To get here we had to put our car on a ferry, apparently the bridge is coming (in the future) but after visiting it's probably better there isn't one! I mean can you imagine a getaway from a major city of 3 million inhabitants, and don't forget the congestion, where you are in the countryside in about half an hour? If Sydney or Brisbane had an island like this it would be inundated with visitation each weekend and summer holidays. Apparently, Salamis Island is too! We went to the end of the island where there is only one restaurant in town and what an establishment it was. Stellios, the proprietor, is a wine aficionado which could be easily gleaned from his investment in wine fridges. He chose a wonderful Rose Dry Wine to compliment our meal...everything was just ideal! It's been a wonderful time to visit Greece in September during a time when the weather is great, kids here go back to school and there's less tourists. Nice to connect with family, especially my namesake cousin here (John, who is six years older than me). I cut my hair and beard after my wife, Eleni gently suggested it about 3 million times this year. Now, when I get back to Australia next month I need to impose a 'fat bastard' style regime on myself. Good times! 31

Good luck with the blues! 1

Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted October 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2022 Today, I purchased Newport butane (it's the best butane I can get in my country) and compressed gas duster to improve and clean my torch lighters. My lighters are not only becoming more powerful but also working smoothly after using these products. For XIKAR Executive II, I had to use white adapter from Newport butane's lid when I was refilling that lighter with this butane. 6 2

My beach houses are about 20 minutes west of Montauk. I spend the better part of every summer there. I have a few really nice smoking spots on the property. If you ever want to meet up for a cigar, hit me up.
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted October 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2022 My son wanted to go to the Post Malone concert so I got tickets for him and my daughter. My daughter bailed on us at the last minute, so I took one of his buddies instead. 22
Popular Post Bill Hayes Posted October 9, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 9, 2022 Spring horse racing season in Melbourne. Finally got out of the house and caught up with mates at the members at Caulfield race course. Things got progressively more hazy and the day unfolded and we got bundled out of the Quadrella in the last leg. Haha! Great day though. And got to catch up with ex AFL great Milan Faletic. Top bloke. Cheers. Poorer in the pocket but richer for the experience. 12

Yeah, after another pretty dry summer but then a few wetter weeks lately they’re eventually popping up everywhere. 😁 We had no luck with cauliflower fungus so far. 1

We found 3 of them. The one in the pic was the smallest. 3 was the lucky number on Sunday. Another 3 outstanding boletus we fund. More than you could eat.
