Can someone tell me the best Cuban cigar books for someone to educate themselves with?

copies are now worth a bundle. but it is the best by a mile.

I've just checked Amazon. $1200.

Habanos have some "official" books for much less (less quality content as well, of course).

If you can afford the enciclopédia, buy it. If you cant, believe me, you still be alive tomorrow.

Damn.  A couple of weeks ago, I was searching the attic for my copy, but I didn't find it.

I remember the author was contemplating an updated release at one time, but I guess that never came to fruition.

I pored over MRNs book for hours and hours and hours when I first got it. Haven't taken it off the shelf in years, yet wouldn't part with it for twice the price on Amazon.

I’ve been thinking about this as well. Although not specifically Cuban cigar books as much as just a great book on the history and culture of cigars. Any recommendations?

I’ve enjoyed this book on the history of Partagas. Great pictures and story in both Spanish and English. It’s very well put together.

While a bit dated (as is MRN's Encyclopedia), I consider it a must read and it is quite a bargain at less than $15 on Amazon

Adriano Martinez Rius' The Great Book of the Habano is absolutely amazing and extremely underrated. Don't let the Habano in the title confuse you--this book takes you through the entire history of tobacco in the New World from 1492 through today which of course is rooted heavily in Cuba. But it does go into the entire history of cigar production and marketing touching on most tobacco-producing countries. 

It's not available on Amazon for some reason but is available from many European vendors for $150-175.

Incredible to think I bought mine for $100 in 2004. This book has been the best-performing asset I've ever owned!

He most definitely is and perhaps @nino can give us an update on the release? As of about a year or so ago it was on the verge of production and was poised to be one of the most comprehensive works on any subject ever written. Twelve volumes, 200 pages each, cloth-covered with flexible bindings and a bamboo stand covering every release up through publication including all ERs, humidors and special releases. Last update was Nov 2016 I believe.

         !!   Min Ron Nee's Illustrated Encyclopedia of Post-Revolution Habana Cigars is out of print!?? WHEW! Am I glad I've got MY copy here! MMM!  But for something maybe a little more accessible, affordable, and also very informative, may I recommend Theo Rudman's Complete Pocket Guide to Cigars. The most recent one I have now is the Fourth Edition. It is EXHAUSTIVELY detailed and informative on ALL cigars (that were the rage up to 2001), and very, very informative about our beloved Habanos. The next available and affordable book is Perelman's Pocket Cyclopedia of Havana Cigars. Again, the most recent edition I've found and own is the 3rd edition. The Perelman's Pocket Guide of Havana cigars includes both most current AND discontinued Cubans. Hope some help for you! Take care.

Just sold for $306. That's probably a more realistic value.

The new one looks even better condition. It was ar $250 last I checked.

That's either a rip-off, or the vendor has really not bothered to check their prices.  I just had a look on a couple of antiquarian websites, and there, the prices are between US $1,345-1,765.  Both in very good condition, second edition from 2005.

Some people don't know what they got, or don't care.

The earlier one on eBay looked like they were liquidating after somebody had passed. They probably just wanted the "junk" gone.
