after 40 years...

apparently ms smith was releasing a new film at the festival about her album, horses, from 40 years ago. at the end of the premiere, the screen was lifted up and she and her band and a few friends were there and played for the audience. you can get lucky. so she and bruce played their old classic. seen him do it live a number of times and the only thing better than patti smith and bruce doing it together is bruce and the E street band. michael stipe from REM is also part of this little band. 

i think one of the two has weathered the years a little better than the other but this is still, and always will be, a cracking song.
