Popular Post Ryan
I brought home a few cigars, now resting. Plenty of Punch la Isla. The Nacional had nice ashtrays this time, the quality of the inscription had been a little lacking recently. I was lucky to get some of this. Most of it disappeared very quichly. http://www.radiorebelde.cu/english/news/la-giraldilla-cuban-rum-to-celebrate-havana-500th-anniversary-20191108/ 5

Screw the Novedosos, how did you find cigars with multiple years on them?? This is impressive in itself. Were they quality? Usually when I see an aged box there, it is of horrible quality.

Popular Post Corylax18
Everything is finally out of the freezer and into my over flowing wineadors and coolidor. I went relatively light on cigars this trip because I am completely out of storage space. I need to drastically increase my smoking rate over the next couple months! Notice the difference in the sheen/color on the # tags. Looks like a manufacturer change from last year to this year. 11

Gorgeous craftsmanship on the finishing of those custom rolls with the pigtail swirl. What are those?

Every shop I went to and people I know in the shops all did not have them yet. Honestly, everything I've smoked of what I brought back with 3+ years of age on them have been great. Much better construction, taste and burn than a lot of the newer regular production stuff I've had recently. I had to go outside the city a little to find the age but was very happy I did.

Popular Post mrjjoiner
This is my recent modest haul from Cuba during my first time/my 42nd Birthday trip on January 8th - 11th, 2020. Some Alex’s Talisman customs, a bundle from Manolo’s farm in the Viñales Valley, coffee, plenty of HC rum, some Hotel Nacional customs rolled by their house guy and a few regular production boxes. I had been scouring the information here and everything was spot on. The contacts, the custom rollers locations and all of the advice. I should have bought way more loot for my treats. But I know for next time.? Kudos to the FOH family.

Santiago 11 was picked up at Melia Cohiba For both the Punch DC and 11 those were the only two places I saw them.

I've always found the shop beside El Aljibe to be super sketchy - They had multiple boxes of 2009 Monte 2's...with the new post 2013 bands on them, they always have discontinued boxes available, HTF's, etc.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I don’t recall her name. She was there working alone...middle aged lady. Looking at the factura it doesn’t look like the signature says Lettie but I can’t quite make it out. Sorry I can’t confirm this for you.
DSegal
I’m with Monterey. 5y16 was a big let-down for me after wanting to get there for a few years. Found a box of SLR Regios there, that was the most interesting one. So nothing too special.
Popular Post Monocle
Got back on Tuesday from my first trip to Havana. What an incredible place! My customs and singles are in the freezer so here’s the full boxes I picked up—focused on what generally isn’t available through 24:24 or commands a premium. I’ll supplement this post once they’re out of the freezer. Without our driver, Arturo, many of these boxes would have never been offered to me. The most unexpected and interesting is definitely the Open Juniors from 2010. The manager at the revamped store next to the new H Upmann factory grabbed it from a hiding spot and insisted I needed it. Who am I to second guess?!? Can’t wait to go back next year.
DSegal
We can all hear the first-time excitement in your exclamation point. It is such a cool place. I found a box of those 2010 Open Juniors in two shops in 2018 and bought one. It is long gone now but was a high quality little ind if slightly one-dimensional.
