I knew that would get your attention ;)

You would swear certain cigars have some dirt over the decision maker at HSA.  Cigars get cut left right and centre and yet certain cigars seem to live a "charmed" life, constantly escaping the cutting room floor.

Out them :nosmilies:

Oohh ok.

I know I’ll get flamed for this but... monte 2. Granted I haven’t bought a box since the late 90s (for a reason) but they were always the most inconsistent cigar i ever smoked.

For example, the Sancho Panza Non Plus non-sales you periodically remind of us, El Pres?

i love the Non Plus!

More like exactly who is Cuaba Exclusivos sleeping with.

...any cuaba really.

How many times have you turned up at a "Herf" / catchup with mates and seen a mate smoking a Cuaba?

Anyone?

The army of small RyJs. Belvederes, Cedros de Luxe No. 3, Coronitas en Cedro, Mille Fleur, Petit Coronas, Regalias de Londres, Romeo No. 1, Romeo No. 2, Romeo No. 3, Sport Largos, the upcoming Club Kings.

We really need eleven small RyJs, but they had to discontinue the Upmann PC? Really?

Also, the entire Monte Open line. I've never met a single person who smoked one and enjoyed it enough to buy another.

Also, if cigars were hookers, my basement would be a very weird place and I would definitely be divorced and bankrupt

Yeah the Non Plus doesn't fit this category, agreed.

Someone lighting up a Cuaba at a Cigar event get together? Hmmm... @Fuzz, who was the last person to light up a Cuaba at any of our Sydney catch-ups?

Another vote for Monty Open. Just the name grates with me. After all, Colin Montgomerie never won the Open. We don’t need to be reminded. ???????

I know I’ll get stick for this, but Behike. Too fat, too rare, too expensive. While I’m at it, Cohiba Maduros. Too fat, and just not Cohiba.

R&J Wide Churchills. Like trying to call a Hummer a Ferrari.

Clearly Monte open, they don't taste good, even for a Dominican. :P

Or one of the 16 or 17 RYJ marevas. I love the size, but lets spread them across all the marcas.....

What happened to cuaba? I haven’t smoked on since the late 90s. I remember when they came out they were chocolate powerhouses and i LOVED em

The entire Cuaba line.

Also the Vegueros - original launch was utter crap. The relaunch is better, but still not great. I've never seen anyone smoke them. Why they didn't just kill it after the failed original launch is beyond me.

My wife loves the Monte Open Junior - as a result I have probably been the world's largest buyer last year at 4 boxes :lookaround: ....and they were all 2010 BD.

Monty Petit Edmundo 52rg

Monty DOUBLE Edmundo? 50rg!?! Argh!!!!!

Cubans in a can.

That does nothing for us. We tried it once. They were so dry and stale.

But a couple of friends had other smoking uses for the tins.

I bought 6 Cuaba Exclusivos box code URG May 10 last year.

Smoked 4 of the 6 so far....

Let's just say I've smoked much worse CC's before!

The Cuaba range is ridiculous/infuriating when it is compared to what’s left of Saint Louis Rey now.  They thought the serie A, SLR DC and Lonsdale we’re taking up valuable shelf space that would be better suited to cuaba tradicionales and exclusivos? They scrapped the bolivar gigantes but continue to produce divinos? One of the heads of HSA must absolutely love cuaba for it to carry on avoiding the chop year after year.

I completely agree about your sentiments  @David88  in regards to the Saint Luis Rey marca and the Bolivar Coronas Gigantes. While we are at it, why (delete) the H.Upmann Petit Corona?

Perhaps Habanos S.A can't let go of the fact that they marketed the Cuaba and Trinidad marcas as premium brands and hence they won't delete these, but they'll delete others. And when they do announce deletions from these 'premium' brands, it's 'left field' choices such as the Tradicionales (which incidentally is still around like the Fonseca No.1) or Robusto T and Robusto T Extra.

@Fuzz and @khamy, can't speak for them since they are dodgy a$$ asians :D and you are a classy guy @JohnS

Cuaba has picked up their game in recent times, not as well as RyJ but it has improved. Though you have to wonder the previous sentiments concerning why so many RyJ that are under performing were not "deleted" at the expense of the rest.
