Lord knows there’s a small fortune worth of cigars in that box. Thankfully @BlackFriar has agreed to set us up with a fresh box, so it should be pretty again by the time it gets to @Capt. Brett , and quite possibly last all the way to the finish line on @awkwardPause ‘s doorstep. I’m hittin the road for Alaska Saturday night. A couple of you guys are likely to have your puts/takes proposals handled by my faithful proxy, @Wertman, while I’m off the grid on my camping trip in Wyoming. In the final stretch here, I’d like to give a big shoutout to all of you for making this such a successful endeavor thusfar. I really appreciate everything all of you have done to make this dream a reality. As I’ve told a few of you, my motivation behind this was not just to ‘run a boxpass’ but to do something bigger for the community at large, in posterity. I had the great fortune to be introduced to, and guided in this hobby by an extremely generous mentor. When i joined the old CA forums in the mid-late 90s, I learned the social benefit and value of a boxpass, to bring folks together. It makes us no longer usernames on a screen, but rather friends and brothers. My goal in developing this system was to create a paradigm (and repeatable experiment) for a newbie-centric boxpass that would make EVERYONE feel welcome and included. Thanks to all the help I’ve received from so many of you in the process, I really think that we have collectively created a system that will become a standard in the future. I was really not smoking CCs in Texas much (there was a great B&M that was like my version of Cheers) and the storage of these El Morro's was not the greatest. Some had wrappers beginning to loosen etc... and some looked fine. I have had these two under proper humidor conditions for over six months now and they are in good shape. Sorry about not having the exact box code/date but I pitched the box over a year ago. I cannot in good conscious do anything with them but give them away for others to try. If they turn out to be dog rockets no matter, but if you take one and you like it, please let me know.
