Ferrero Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Hoyo de Monterrey ‘Le Hoyo de San Juan’ | Blanton's Gold Edition Single Barrel Bourbon By KBG I suspect that Greg chose this pseudo-baseball bat deliberately to test me. The immediate impression anyone will have is of a monster ring gauge. For me, we are now in the realms of the absurd. 54. Seriously? But it looks well constructed. I have read of underfilled cigars in this line. No such issue here. To be honest, these had not registered with me prior to this one. They came in, in 2014, but to the best of my recollection, I have never smoked one before. This is, of course, the moment when someone will instantly link to a review Rob and I did of them at some stage and where I no doubt raved about them. Ferrero Posted March 16, 2018 Author Posted March 16, 2018 @Ken Gargett, looks like you weren't invited...
Ken Gargett Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 nice! i slave fingers to the bone and this is the reward.
JohnS Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I have a feeling you were away in New Zealand when that review was done Ken (I could be wrong about the location...it was 3 years ago). What a great combination. Blanton's is among my very favourite bourbons.
MoeFOH Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Very glad you reviewed this one, Ken. Randomly grabbed a couple of these on Greg's recommendation when I was in there last... Perhaps Greg is on commision with these! Will smoke one over the weekend. Not a bourbon fan, so might pair it with a chocolate stout or a spiced rum. Cheers!

No commission (@El Presidente, hook me up ) but the ROI is just far too great not to pick them up when you have the chance. 1
