Excellent :) welcome to the fun shop!

I think you hit the nail on the head re pepper; in terms of the NC pepper, it just doesn't exist in Cubans. You get the odd but of jalapeno in a very few cigars such as Bolivar Gold Medals, and occasionally you might get the odd whiff of white pepper in a few others, but that's about it.

Some of the stand out flavours will shock you just as much as this first cigar has, I was knocked been when I first tasted custard (Quai d'Orsay panetela), sticky sweet berry fruits (Romeo y Julieta ex #4), raisins and chocolatey milk coffee (Montecristo #3) etc etc

You're in for a fun time, enjoy!

Epi 2 was my first CC as well. As luck would have it that was the one I grabbed for whatever reason. Smoked poolside in Lake Como Italy. I still use it as my official go-to smoke for friends who don’t smoke regularly. Cheers and welcome to the club!

I’ve enjoyed it and my wife loves it because it’s designed to act as a candle holder when not in use. Thanks!

I used to have GSP's. Do you participate in NAVHDA?

No I haven’t been involved, in fact I wasn’t even aware of them. Pheasants Forever is pretty active in our area though.

EPI #2 was one of my first box purchases. That box didn't last long, lol. Great review. Better get your credit card tuned and lubed, it's going to get a workout.

Conclusion:

If this cigar is at all representative of CCs then I am in for a great journey as I continue to explore this sampler and beyond! Also, get used to seeing me around here and thanks to our hosts and everyone for all the info and the hours of enjoyment I’ve spent in the community thus far.

Excellent review!  Great job.

Used to smoke a ton of Epi 2s and loved them all. Feel out for some reason but sure glad I've got a 5ver on the way! Very nice write up and enjoy your journey.

Well done, welcome to the ever addicting world of Cuban Cigars. You nailed the non pepper element in CC's vs NC's, after long you will find most NC's you previously enjoyed as "pepper bombs" at least that was my case. Enjoy the journey, when smoking fantastic cigars, its hard not to!
