David88
Here is my top 10 for the year, although the positions keep changing here it is as it stands right now (I have the years but no box codes written down): Magnum 56 (2015) Partagas Lusitania (2016) SCdlH La fuerza (2014) Punch DC (2014) RA Club allones (2015) Connie A (2016) Monte 4 (2014) JL no.2 (2016) HdM Epi 1 (2014) Magnum 46 (2015) With an honourable mention going to the HdM elegantes. I wasn’t too sure where to put these in the list as I have only had a few of them, but I’m surprised they don’t get more attention around here.
Cubadust
So my top ten as of now, in no particular order. PLPC - So, I'm smoking cabs from 13, 14 and 16 right now. And I like them all for different reasons. RASS - 14 RASCC - 16 JL#2 - 16 PSD4 - 14 and early TOS 16 Partagas Shorts - 14 ScDH El Principe - 16 RyJ Petit Churchills Tubos - 14 RyJ Short Churchills - 17 HUHC - mid year TOS 16 And going through my boxes and codes I have to place Hoyo de Monterrey Epicuré No.2, SUE 2014 as a runner up. I have a couple of boxes and they look and smoke amazing.
Popular Post planetary
I decided to pull in some data from previous years. First question: for cigars which have gotten scores in each of 2015, 2016, and 2017 (so far), what was their average rank over the years? Second question: what the year-over-year position change for each cigar? Cigars 2015 Rank 2016 Rank Change 2017 Rank Change 3 Year Avg Rank Cohiba Robustos 2 3 -1 5 -2 3.3 H. Upmann Connoisseur A 4 5 -1 1 +4 3.3 Partagas Lusitanias 3 8 -5 3 +5 4.7 H. Upmann Sir Winston 1 7 -6 17 -10 8.3 Romeo y Julieta Churchills 6 21 -15 8 +13 11.7 Ramon Allones Specially Selected 31 6 +25 2 +4 13.0 H. Upmann Connoisseur No. 1 5 12 -7 27 -15 14.7 Diplomaticos No. 2 24 10 +14 14 -4 16.0 Montecristo No. 2 13 4 +9 35 -31 17.3 Partagas Serie D No. 4 33 1 +32 20 -19 18.0 Bolivar Belicosos Finos 14 32 -18 13 +19 19.7 Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 2 28 39 -11 4 +35 23.7 Punch Punch 10 11 -1 50 -39 23.7 H. Upmann Magnum 50 30 28 +2 17 +11 25.0 Notice the *exact* tie between the CoRo and Connie A for top position in the 3-year average. I hasten to add that this remains subject to change, depending on further entries for 2017 rolling in... 5
NSXCIGAR
Interesting to note the huge drop-offs for the PSD4, HUSW, Punch Punch and Monte 2. I think recent production Monte 2 and HUSW have been pretty good. Can't speak to the others though. Also interesting to see the BBF consistently score so low year after year.
Fugu
Also interesting (frightening) to realize that exactly zilch of my picks has made it to member's top Fourteen. Not a good sign I suspect, smoking too far off the mainstream path. Might be high time for me to stock up...

planetary
Thanks to all 25 participants so far. That's still fewer participants than we've had in past years, so here's a final call for anyone who is so moved to put forward your top 10 cigars of the last year. I'll close the thread later this week, and publish results.

Jfeath74
Below is my top ten most enjoyed cigars of 2017. I had a few very nice EL’s (Mag 56, RACA and the Trini Topes) as well as the Dante’s Belicoso Mexico Regional. Popular Post planetary
Thanks to all who participated in this belated 2017 community tally. Here are some conclusions which you might find interesting, or not, as the case may be. Participation: 28 FOHers responded. You cast 287 total votes, inclusive of 115 cigars. Brands: The brands receiving the most mentions were H. Upmann (42), Cohiba (32), Ramon Allones (26), Partagas (24), and Montecristo (20). The brands with the most cigars mentioned were Cohiba (12), H. Upmann (10), Montecristo (10), and Hoyo de Monterrey (9). Cigars: The H. Upmann Connoisseur A took top honors by a wide margin, garnering a weighted score more than 36% higher than the runner-up, the Partagas Lusitanias. Cigars placing in the top 20 overall which haven't appeared before are the Rafael Conzalez Perlas (9th place). This cigar took me by surprise, though it's obviously well-known and loved by many of you. (The BCG dropped off the list last year entirely, and made a come-back this year in a big way.) Since I've started tracking FOH community top 20 lists in 2015, only 4 cigars have made the cut every year: the Connie A, the Lusi, the CoRo, and the Sir Winston. In addition, two cigars which became available in 2016 have made the list each year since: the Mag 56 (EL 2015) and the RACA (EL 2015). Most improved over last year: HUPC took 18th place this year, an improvement of 114 positions over the previous year. The top cigar with a "classic" ring gauge is the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas (5th place). Other skinnies on the top 20 list include the RASCC (8th place), the RG Perlas (9th place), the CoLa (15th place), the LCGMdO4 (16th place), and the HUPC (18th place). Some charts for your viewing pleasure... I look forward to hearing about your 2018 favorites in... well, in less than a year. 4
