Arctic Dude Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Fake? I believe that Behikes only come in boxes of 10. Am I missing something? 1
Lotusguy Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Fake. BHK were never released in a jar like that. 1
Arctic Dude Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 Thanks @Lotusguy...a person I'm acquainted with on another forum swears these are legit, and that he knows the proprietor who informs him that there have only been "100 made" of these jars. I've tried to tell him otherwise, but he has apparently been using this site for 5 years (and "25 years in business"). Some people just don't want help!
Fuzz Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Throw your mate off by telling him the legit ones have 5 rows of dots on the top and 6 rows on the bottom (it is a Behike 56). 1 2
Arctic Dude Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 He's on his own, but thanks for the tip @Fuzz! He made it clear to me that he knows best and that I should drop the subject!
Puros Y Vino Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 These can be found easily on eBay. Not an officially sanctioned Habanos product and definitely not going to be filled with real Behikes. There is a generic, large Behike jar that Habanos does sell. But not with any cigars. Just as general humijars. 3
Arctic Dude Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 Thanks for the info @bundwallah!!
Arctic Dude Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 So, the same place that is offering up that limited Spanish release of that Jar-O-Behike's also has the following goodies on offer: Bolivar Lonsdales and Supremas Churchills La Gloria Cubana Cetros No. 1 and Tapados Por Larranaga Lonsdales Diplomaticos No. 3 and No. 4 Saint Luis Rey Lonsdales Punch Monarch Tubos and Nacionales They claim to have multiple boxes of each!! Act now!!

I should clarify this. It's not so much as "Habanos" selling empty jars, but rather the LCDH's are. My mistake. There'd be a huge difference between the two bodies in terms of selling empty jars. In short, it makes more sense for LCDH to sell them vs Habanos. In effect they're just branded humijars. Not tied to any actual cigar releases. A while back I posted a picture of the three, aforementioned jars at the Toronto LCDH. See here. 1 1
Konablacksand Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 These jars can be found on Chinese mfg product sites. Aliexpress lists them
GerardMichaelTX Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I honestly like the jar, but I kind of feel like it should have that same large blocking like the box along with that beautiful piano finish.

Yes, and even in the Cuban LCDHs they sold the jars for years for around $90. I've seen Cohiba, BHK and Partagas Serie jars. Haven't seen any in the shops there for several years however. They probably haven't paid their vendor for a while. In fact I know a LCDH proprietor that would buy dozens of jars there and repackage cigars in them for a fancier presentation and an extra $300. Most buyers wouldn't be aware that it's not an official HSA product as even in this thread we see there can be some confusion about that. 2
travis176310 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Seen these recently, along with a jar of Sigla VI and Pyramid Extra. These were obvious fakes as the Box was a 5th Avenue release and they didn't have the jar manufacturer seal. The bottom was not serialized like a numbered release and had no guarantee seal. Another red flag was the price and the fact that they were willing to negotiate. I bought the Piramides Extra jar because I wanted the jar and the sticks in it were of a quality worth the price. But I absolutely knew they were not authentic.
