ElJavi76 Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Very creative writing @El Presidente You know what happens to crack whores? They get passed off to your unsuspecting friends. I bought a box of Epi Especiales, that have been everything but. Burn problems. I gave one to a friend after raving about Cubans and what we'd smoke at the lounge for a week, only to find myself making excuses. Maybe they're young. Maybe they need rest. I'm not losing hope but they need help. Interesting cause they have beautiful dark wrappers but smoked like poo. These were ROE NOV 16. This devil might wear Prada, but she's rotten underneath. #notLosingHope P.S. #IHaveAGreatCigarYouShouldTry please help yourself to as many as you like. LOL 1
Smallclub Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Explains why my 2017 Petit Robusto taste like bouillon cube. Bleh… 1

I thought I was the only one with two very bland SLBs Epicure Especial ROE NOV 16 1

I haven't had any burn issues but its nothing compared to 15 Epi #2s I have. 1
soothsayr Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 I just hope some more age will help some of the recent hdm I have with a cab of the '15 stuff to tide me through the lean years.
luvdunhill Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 I have a PSP/HQ 50 cabinet of Epicure No. 2 with a ROM SEP 16 date that is quite nice. So, there were some decent late ‘16 boxes?
Bartolomeo Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 San Juans have treated me right since release 3
chris12381 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 @ElPresidente, if you to start going through boxes of HdM Epi 2 50 cabs that just arrived your werehouse...and you were a betting man, which factory code(s) would you most likely gravitate towards in the hopes that when you open the box, you see some PSP or HQ worthy cigars? cmbarton Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Red Auerbach is turning in his grave. I’m down to half a box of Epi 2’s from 2014, so I guess I have to make them last!
Danimalia Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Hopefully, they’ll make a comeback when the leaf from the bumper crops gets into circulation. When you get one of the super rich, creamy, sweet Hoyos, it becomes hard to accept them when they’re anything less.
Lotusguy Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 San Juans have treated me right since releaseI second this! Not a dud among them (but I'm also still smoking OR). 1
ErikB Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Not an expert in the matter , but guess my preferring Vegueros to HdM is saying somethingVerzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
ErikB Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 wouldn’t the HdM blend be more difficult to get right I wonderVerzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
Dmpotocek Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 My conspiracy theory: Quai d Orsay (a milder cigar) gets a bump at the same time HDM takes a dive. Might be a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I seem to think they were up more often in 2015/16. 1

Vortigan Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 I've got an as yet untouched March '14 cab of Epi #2 that I'm hopeful for. It's a cigar that I've not always had the greatest of joy with. I think in years gone by I made erroneous assumptions such as lighter blend = less time down required & so consequently went at them too soon. I think I've since learned that it's a cigar that benefits from closer to 5 years rather than just a couple.
fitzy Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 The HDM Le Hoyo du Depute that I picked up a couple weeks ago that were PSP/HQ are fantastic. Wish I got a couple boxes of them. OMD DIC 15.
