Lotusguy Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Rockwell Quad Torch Lighter last 2 years no probs. Quad torch... are you welding or lighting a cigar? 1

sjmistry Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 I had a Xikar Stratosphere, keyword had. Nowadays, I usually have a plain old BIC lighter with me most of the time. Seems to get the job done and serves a second purpose of opening beer bottles.
Islandboy Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 I LOVE my FoH lighter. I think it’s the way you grip it, compared to more conventional lighters. Seems more natural to me. 1
moryc Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Lotus Black Label Dictator Flat Flame. I like the flat flame, it good for "painting" when lighting. 2
Doctorossi Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Ronson Jet-Lite. Inexpensive, consistent and easy to find. 1
Kitchen Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Personally, I prefer cigar matches. I find it is too easy to burn the wrapper with a butane lighter and prefer the slower toasting a match gives. However, outside it is usually not practical to use a match and I go with a Alec Bradly triple torch lighter I got for free. Been working well for three years; outlasted a Xikar lighter that I got and broke after only a couple months.

Lotusguy Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 I used this the other day when my lighter ran out of gas in the garage. It was a very delicate balance between burning off the hair on my fingers and lighting the cigar but it worked. 2 2 1
Chepe Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Also a fan of the Ronson Jetlite. I'm working on my third Jetlite in the past 7+ years. Super cheap and not bad style for under $5. I also like using a soft flame bic for touch-ups as sometimes it can be hard to see the torch flame in the day time... I hate getting a torched wrapper 1
TheMonk Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 I really like my Dupont MaxiJet, but don't usually take it with me when I smoke outside, for that I have a few cheap two flame torches based on the design of the Xikar ELX.
Riverstyx Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 I primarily use Xikar Volta tabletop at home, but bring my Partagas lighter I bought in Cuba when smoking elsewhere. 2
shadowACE Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Prometheus Magma T - beautiful 3 jet torch that forms a soft flame at the end.Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk 2
grizzlee Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 After too much money spent on lighters, I find myself always going back to the cheapo $4 Ronson or 6$ Uper. Go figure, could have saved myself a lot of $$.... 1
Ouftastic Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I prefer a soft flame if possible as I find my cigars burn better. All other time I use my single jet xikar. 2

Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk Maybe the worse lighter ever! Crazy expensive, breaks constantly. Now comes with a warning that if used for more than 10 seconds, it will damage the lighter. They charge you to fix it and they charge you to ship it both to them and back! I don't know how this company survives! Xikar all the way.

awkwardPause Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Jetline quad or triple lighter. Under $20 and smoked with the same one for years now. Don’t even waste my time with anything fancy anymore after my $200 Dupont crapped out for a second time.

Obviously anecdotal evidence, I have heard the manufacturing quality changed at some point...
Monterey Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 They changed their process in 2015. Any lighter prior to that seems to run great, since then, nothing but garbage. They don't stand behind their product, red flag.
fastkiller13 Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Wife got it for me a few months ago. I love it. 1
Oscar300 Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I use a ligne 2 table lighter, that must be 20 years old, everyday when im inside. Maxijet when im outside and a minijet when im at a wedding/need a small lighter. Love them all. The wife got me a ligne 2 in rose gold with the double flame for christmas, I love it, but dont use it. Far to nice to use, its like a piece of art. Will use it one day.
