Cigarnerd, your name fits you! Yes, actually white mold can become green mold: Once I've put a cigar in a very humid environment and made some timelapse movies to see how the mold develops. Some types, and I am not saying all types, are actually white in the early stages and develop a color later on. First the white stuff spreads, and later on the green stuff in the middle developed: First those tiny litte white pinheads form, than the pinheads grow and become larger and finally they turn green. You can see all 3 stages in this closeup: You can also take a look at the clementine on the wiki-page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mold Same mold, 2 colors. And btw: Cigars relax me beyond all measure, don't worry ;-) 2

Monterey
My first reaction is to call you absolutely nuts. But that is kind of bad ass. Good luck in your study!
jtfrizzy
my 2 cents: The thing with color is the same like with plume: it's a myth to soothe our minds. It's a story which gained truth by simple repetition.Your probably dead right about that. Wouldn't suprise me at all. RickHendeson
Much like Rob's gross-ass post on sushi tapeworms, I feel there should have been a trigger warning here.

If Rob uses the words "weird and wonderful" you got your warning....
DBNInc
I don't know where or when the "Mold on the foot is deadly" and "White mold is good, any other color is bad" schools of thought came from, but its amazing how ingrained they have become. Just wipe and smoke. Hell, you don't even need to wipe them, they'll smoke the same!
