Looking for suggestions. Going to pick up another box soon. Trying to keep this one at $300 USD or lower. I have no stipulation on the strength or body as I appreciate them all. What are some of your "go to's" in that range?

Cheers!

I personally would try to find 2 boxes of Ramon Allones Club Allones and get 2 boxes before they are extinct and gone forever. That’s my ATF so far along with the Punch Punch.

The JL #2s on 24:24 right now would be a good pick up.

Last night I smoked a 2017 JL #2 I got from a previous 24:24 sale and I couldn`t agree more with Rob`s assessment of it being the best regular production cigar of 2017.

@rxavier1979 this too.. They are one of my favorite cigars right now and I need to grab a box or 2 when they come up on 24:24.

You can get a great box of 25 cigars for $300 US. In fact you can get most of what I'd buy for less.

Right now, bang for the buck? Ask Rob. He'll do you right.  At any given time it's not so much which cigars to buy, it comes down to whats good right now. Get a box of Punch Punch and dry them out.  Good cigars. PSD #4 if they are good, How about living large? Siglo II. Hoyo Epi #1, great cigars young and a go to for the person new to Cuban Cigars. And on and on. My .02$

Monte 2 and Partagas D4 are classic habanos and two of my favorite cigars, both under $300. Quality varies drastically so my recommendation would be to wait for a HQ/PSP offering on 24:24.

Not so much new to Cubans. Definitely new to this community though. Montecristo and Partagas have been a staple in my humidor for years.

I got a box of aged 2014 Monte 4 from a recent 24:24.....then maybe a ten of partagas Louis or  box of JL2 clearance.  It should be right at your price point

I smoked the Monte 4 at the video chat even though I have had them only 3 days amazing smoke loved them.  I had an empty stomach and I will tell you after I did feel a bit nauseated. I am a light wait but should only improve

How do they compare to the Edmundo?

I think it's nice to have a shorter smoke while it retains the flavor and complexity of the larger Edmundo. Also the petits I've had so far seem to have a slight better construction than their larger brothers. But that might have been anomalies. In general I just like smaller cigars as I usually don't want to spend 1.5 hours on a cigar, especially in the winter in Vancouver where there's no indoor smoking lounge.

A fellow Canadian. Awesome! Ontario here. Luckily there are a few lounges/bistros just across the border from me. Great places in the winter time.

I’d say PLPC for your winter months but I’m assuming whatever you’d get now wouldn’t be smoked in the near term. Usher in the spring with Punch Punch or JL No 2. I’m really loving those two right now and both at about 200. Add a pack of cohiba shorts for the winter. My winters are like your late spring so I don’t worry so much about time outside. B)
