We will have a facility to do so mid next year. it will be member to member only however.

I have a question: What exactly is this foreign concept you call “excess inventory”?

Friends! The best thing about cigars is the company. And there are plenty of friends who are happy to buy cigars that I don’t like as my palate/smoking habits change. But I don’t flip to mates, just p

Box date 3+

I'd have to imagine anything in the locker for 3 years would have to have a box date 3+ years old....

Of course one might have stored a recent purchase that had 3+ years on it so right in either case!

This sounds great to me, as buying and selling via Facebook seems perilous at times.

Looking forward to Rob setting up something like this for trusted members as I am not part of the trading board as I have 8 plus years here but not enough posts (but fully enjoy the forum) but I do like to sell off some stuff preferably to worthy brothers. I recently sold a HQ/ PSP box of SW’s I think I got in 14 or sometime around there to someone for near cost I think $350 give or take and he flipped them to a guy that gave them out in packages to golfers in a golf outing. It shouldn’t have pissed me off as much as it did but I wasn’t looking to make money just reinvest in other stock I have time to actually smoke. Mostly wanted them to find a good home for an appreciate host as strange as that sounds.

I completely understand. I sold 4 limited edition NCs to a guy recently. I don’t think you can buy them in shops anymore so I could’ve probably made a little profit if I wanted to, especially since I also bought them at a discount, but I sold them for the same price I bought them for. Figured I add some karma to my account. But I would also be pissed if I saw him selling them to make a profit. I think most people would.

But I have to say I don’t understand how one would look at cigars different if they sold some. The guy I sold those 4 NCs to was because he asked if anyone had them which I did, and since I didn’t enjoy them all that much and have somewhat of a financial crisis at the moment I thought it was a good opportunity.

I meet people over time on forums or in person who've bought stuff from me.  It's usually due to sizes I went heavy on and no longer so into or price is an offer I can't refuse.   I don't have much right now I would part with, but everyone has their price...

We have a trading forum. You just need to meed the post and time requirement (100 and 6 months).

Prez-sorry to dig up something so old, but curious if this still exists somewhere on here and if the 100/6mo rule still stood. Cheers!

Specifically the trading forum, I saw the auction platform and it’s awesome. Some dream pieces on there for sure

It does and it magically appears when you reach the 100/6 benchmark ;)

I buy 125 cigars per month and only smoke 30-35. I don’t know what this excess inventory is.

This is a great thread..I end up with excess as well. Sometimes I get a few boxes smoke one and a half boxes and fall out of love....pick it up again much much much later and the love is totally gone..rather than give them away it would be great to sell them for a few bucks that could be used towards stuff I’m currently in love with.

Well I for one am anxiously awaiting this after being sniped in the auction. I have a fair amount of young boxes from here and elsewhere, but not much in the way of aged.

The beauty of excess inventory is theoretically they will all get consumed (unless it's something you don't like) if one lives long enough.  So perhaps that encourages us to take better care of our health to get through our stashes.  I'm a noob and only currently house a 3.5 year inventory at my current smoking rate, so obviously I have a long ways to go in collecting or only a short time I need to live to finish them.

Counting down the days to 6 months.  I’ve had multiple orders hitting each week (3 shipments tomorrow) and just letting them rest 30 days is killing me.  I took a picture of the first humi loaded so I wouldn’t keep opening the lid.

Hi, my name is Heath, and I’m a cigaraholic.  One day at a time....

I chuckle every time I read the title...Excess Inventory...hahahaha...makes me giggle just thinking about it.  No such thing.

That is like have your wiener too big and other nonsensical things...it just can't happen.  Like a Pegacorn or something.

*Note:  A cigar merchant can have excess inventory, not a civilian :)

If anyone truly has excess inventory, message me.  I have many lonely cigars sitting in too big of a house.  They are so very sad. They need friends to fill their cedar lined box.  They are sleeping single in a king bed
