I'm heading to Amsterdam for one night, and then skiing in Zermatt by way of Zurich.  Spending a couple days in Lucerne on the way back.  I'll have non-smokers with me, so I can't visit multiple stores.  If there is one store in any or all of these cities you would recommend, which one(s) would they be?  Main goal: HTF stuff (I guess, unless there is something else I should be looking for?).

Also, are the Duty Free stores in the Amsterdam and Zurich airports any good?

Thanks!

Best Shop in Zurich is Samuel Menzi's LCDH on Bleicherweg 9. There are also Davidoff Shops throughout the City Center if you want your typical ready to smoke stuff. Airport Duty Free in Zurich is nothing special.

Be sure to bring the Cigars you want to smoke to Zermatt as there are very few places to purchase a Cigar if you are not carrying. Cigar Bars etc...

Will be in Zermatt myself spending Christmas, then over to St. Moritz for the New Year. Enjoy CH!

Amsterdam is easy - there are three great shops in one street : the LCdH , a Davidoff store and a place called Cigaragua. The LCdH would be my choice

For Amsterdam, you need to visit Hajenius https://www.hajenius.com/en/ which I believe is near Davidoff?  Very historic and non-smokers will get hoot out of it.

In Zurich, I don't find the stores to be so great.  The LCDH is small and owner is kind of a douche.  There's another store around the corner, which I forget its name has more cigars than the LCDH!  These stores are near  the Bahnhofstrasse and there's plenty of other cool stores on that street.  Although not a cigar store, Parfümerie Osswald is worth checking out on the Bahnhofstrasse.  They sell fragrances as you can imagine, but in a way that is super cool & classy.  I pick up something there every time I go.

In Zermatt, there's a small tobacconist in the shopping centre-thingy opposite the station - faces onto the street, so you can window shop before going in.

A lot of the higher-end restaurants will have some kind of cigar offering, even if only Davidoff (thinking Chez Vrony up at Findeln, a must stop).  From memory, I think the Hotel Mont Cervin has a cigar lounge.  As Bahnofstrasse says, there are slim pickings, so don't expect to uncover a gem in a dusty corner (not that the Swiss 'do' dust...).

Will be there from 27.12 - 6.1.  Looking like a decent start to the season snow-wise, after the last two green Christmases!

@Philski do you know if the small tobacconist sells Cubans? Thanks for the cigar lounge recommendations.  I'll have to check them out.  I won't be out there until the end of January - enjoy your trip!

@Riverstyx: arrived in Z on Wednesday, but that little tobacconist has gone! Will look around and see if it has simply moved.

Photo from last night - yes, it’s as cold as it looks!

(PS - maybe a mod can rotate this picture for me, don’t know how to!)

The Hotel Mont Cervin is probably your best bet - very smart!

If you have the time, you really should visit the Hajenius shop in Amsterdam at Rokin 92-96 -- not just for the goo selection of cigars, but because it is one of the few old-fashioned tobacconists left in the world.

In Zurich, I always end up at the Wagner Tabak Laedeli.  The range may not be as big as at the LCDH, but the shop owner is very passionate about his smokes, and I have had wonderful chats with him.  It's also very easy to reach if you plan to do some sight-seeing as it is located right in the old city, at the Storchengasse 19.

The Mont Cervin in Zermatt is definitely a good bet.  It has a dedicated cigar lounge....

Will try to go to the Hajenius shop if I still have time @gweilgi

What about cigar lounges or smoke friendly lounges that are open late? I’ll be there on a saturday night in September and I need a place with good ventilation where I can bring a group of 5-10 that’s open til 12 or 1am.

Will be near Amsterdam city center.

Can you smoke cigars in Coffeeshop's?

BrightonCorgi I'm not sure about all coffeeshop's, but the two we visited did not allow cigar smoking.
A lot do not allow tobacco to be smoked but the Bulldog chain have always been very accommodating. So many changes though I'm not up on the latest places.

For a great shopping experience head over to Almere, cracking shop there and very friendly staff.

In Amsterdam best choice is the LCDH. Ask for Julian to help you and do not hesitate to ask him about cigars you do not see available on the shelves.

Hajenius is worth the visit but you will not find the CC selection you will find in LCDH
