Wanted to see how these have progressed since the last time I smoked one. Last time I smoked one it was still rough around the edges and the last half got harsh. I smoked this on Saturday night with some cheap scotch.

1st third starts out wonderfully. Medium strength, rich toasted tobacco and wood tones. Construction is mid grade with a wavering burn line but no touch ups needed.

2nd third brings in a light cream and some anise. The toasted tobacco flavor is delicious. No harshness yet.

Last third continues with the aforementioned flavors, but starts to get harsh/rough about midway through. I toss it with a little over 1.5 inches left.

Overall assessment is that these are starting to mellow out, ever so slightly. The harshness of the cigar didnt show up until i got into the last third where previously, it would start around the halfway mark. Flavors are straightforward as to be expected from this cigar. Not complex, but good toasted tobacco throughout. Probably try another in about a year or so.

I followed this up with a recently purchased ROTT (3 days) HUPC TOS NOV 16. Awesome follow up cigar. Nuts, shortbread, cream and an overall underlying sweetness. Cant wait to let these rest about 6 months.20171125_014609~2.jpg20171125_015045~2.jpgb7263cd4aab84f8d15cec542c2b40053.jpg20171125_045110~2.jpg

Double banger - I do this often also. Sometimes warming up the palette with one profile pairs well on a second cigar.
Good review- thanks

Thanks for the review. I had one with the same code on Sunday, and I had the same experience; a bit of wavering burn and a tad rough in the final third.
