After a VERY long time (ok - about 5 years) after I'd screwed up the inside of my humidor by thoughtlessly putting those rum soaked Wolf's Crook cheroots or some such in it, I finally gave a flavored cigar manufactured by a company I respect ( CAO ) a shot. I don't have any complaints against CAO's Moontrance, Vanilla whatever and so on. But I still really don't do flavored cigars. Or those Drew Estate "infused" ones either

It's shocking to see sales numbers on flavored cigars. Drew Estate (swisher now I guess) making a ton of money off infused still. I was at a cigar event a couple years back and they were throwing Kuba Kuba and Blondies into the crowd and people were smoking them up. And apparently the Tabak Especial is a perennial top seller in cigar shops. I don't care for them but I see how people could like them.

90% of the premium handmade cigars they sell is in the non-traditional (infused) category. At 32 million cigars produced a year, that's a lot of non-traditional consumption.

I enjoy the Tabak Especial line from Drew Estate. I've had a few of the Oliva Cafe series and found them fairly mediocre.

I've tried the acid blondie and didn't hate it. I really enjoyed the Drew estate Kentucky Fire Cured cigar, I found it similar to lapsang souchong tea, if anybody has had that. Also picked up the new Swamp Thang by them. Mostly for the name, I used to stay up late and watch Swamp Thing with my Grandmother who recently passed. After I smoke it I will post a review. Probably not a good one, but I'll do my best.

Similar process, believe it or not. Both use some sort of wood to infuse the leaves (tea or tobacco) with smoke flavors.

I love lapsang souchong, my fiancee can't stand it.

I think I tried a grape backwoods cigar once. Those ones you get in the gas station in the pouch. It was awful. Never ever again no matter what the scenario is.

The only flavoured cigar I had was an acid (I think it was a kuba kuba). I didn’t like that the flavour came from a coating on the leaf, I assume it was some chemical spray as I couldn’t discern what flavour it was other than very sweet. When that sweet coating came off the cigar that was left was extremely mild with no real flavour. I have not and would not smoke another
