Decided to try my first one from the box I acquired from the coupon day. This box has been sitting in the humidor since Sept 20th.

 

Punched the cigar and used a torch to ignite.

This box has a lighter shade then a lot of the boxes put up on 24:24 but the aroma is pungent.

 

1st : started out very good. Nice sweet tobacco and coffee notes. Draw was a little on the snug side. The construction of this cigar was very good, tight pack.

Started full bodied and full strength.

2nd: picked up in strength if you can believe it! Pure espresso and toasted tobacco. But that was really it.

3rd: much of the same with no transition.

This cigar was full bodied and full strength. It takes a lot for a cigar to hit me in the gut as I do smoke many Nicaraguan cigars, particularly Tatuaje.

I can see the potential with this cigar down the road.

Would score it an 88. First third was in the 90s but the final half brought it back down. Youth being responsible for the minor let down towards the end.
