GrouchoMarx Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 behikes, sir winnies, lanceros. The big 3 for me that I'm pretty much always on the hunt for.

Russia, still seems to be swamped with ERDM Tainos, from what I can see. Trying to sell the holiday concept to my Missus, but she's seen straight through it.
Wertman Posted September 26, 2017 Author Posted September 26, 2017 Wow the lgc md02. It's not a cigar that has ever been on my radar. I have no good hook ups so most likely will never see them. I wonder how good they are? I only see the md04 posted on the 24:24 here
earthson Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Des Dieux, sure, but where are my dang ole du Gourmet!?!?
dominattorney Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I came into some 2003 Des Diex cardboards from another vendor. They were up for only about a day and after I bought them they disappeared again. Not even "out of stock" just plum gone. one can only wonder why, but I got em and they taste great.

As has the SLR Serie A and DC. Not a good sign. These are probably cooked...and what an absolute shame. There are some SLR DC still out there in the $1,000 range if you look hard enough or are willing to travel to pick them up. Considering their limited production numbers even when available, I'd say that's a market price that's sure to rise. MdO 2 is almost non-existent. I have come across zero stock in 2 years of pretty thorough searching. Seeing as how there are some Hoyo DD still out there, albeit older and in places difficult to get and I'm sure there's Serie A and I know there's some SLR DC the MDO 2 is the hardest to locate which is surprising as it was readily available only 3-4 years ago. So we now have three marcas with only one vitola: Dip, SLR and LGC. Totally ridiculous. I hope that a brand revamp similar to QdO is on the horizon for these brands.

I hovered over those Des-Dieux for a while, but didn't pull the trigger. I've heard lots of nightmares about their cardboard packs. Glad it came through for you. A hong kong company got a share of the same batch of 5packs, and were selling at the same time. Gutted I didn't take the leap of faith now. The nail in the coffin was that an admin person told me "they were aged stock from habana"? I'm sure they must of had their wires crossed, but at the time it cooled off my potential purchase.

Yup, while not "officially" discontinued so far, surely on a longer production hiatus I'd take from it. Happy I went pretty deep on one of my favourites, the MdO2. They were snagged up quick on their last production run in '13/'14. But we should really wait for @ericthetroll to make some more qualified comments on that. 13 minutes ago, NSXCIGAR said: I hope that a brand revamp similar to QdO is on the horizon for these brands. Well, three guesses in which formats.... 2
stunod Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Behikes for sure. I don't think one has been put up on 24:24 in over a year
SignalJoe Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Siglo V and Sir Winston. I recall the HUs once this year, I only remember seeing the Vs as part of a locker sale. I still regret not buying them.
El Hoze Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 The most recent box of Siglo V I've seen (and now have) are Nov 16. 2
Shaunster Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Most of these cigars mentioned are available in the UK. Boxes of des dieux and SLR DC but of course you will pay a hefty price for them which is probably why they are still around. I doubt they will be produced again so stock up if you want them.Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
RazorbackFan Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Just placed an order for two boxes of H. Upmann Sir Winstons. My cigar budget for the foreseeable future is blown but I couldn't resist!
