Habana Mike Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 King of the World Grand Corona RPO OCT01 - discontinued in 2002 Start at 11:03:50AM birthday morning, first smoke of the day. The cigar has a silky wrapper, minor veins, almost perfect triple cap, colorado claro in color, firm roll, firm draw - well made and good looking cigar Earthy, leather, spice on cold draw Upon first light and into the first third molasses, cedar, coffee, leather come through - slightly darker flavors than the Choix Supreme It's medium bodied, rich flavors, creamy mouthfeel Burn off a bit at the onset, straightened out after the first inch - razor sharp burn line Draw opens up at the mid-point - great smoke production More sweetness, sugar cane, cedar picks up, toasty, floral notes An hour in we approach the final third - Strength increases as it progresses, more powerful, smoke coats the palate 90 minute mark More leather, medium to full bodied now An excellent cigar Just over the two hour mark. This is a cigar I've enjoyed for some time, shame down to less than a handful.... 3
