Cigar choice

Again, I'm not sure exactly what the OP considers economical, but RASS and RASCC would fall into the category of premium priced IMO. There's a lot of cigars I would have recommended like HdM Epi 1 and 2, RASS, Party Short, or RGPC that I just consider premium priced and left off my list.

I'd also add that I think the RyJ Coronitas en Cedros have been pretty peppy lately (although they have been very good) and maybe a tad strong for a novice. And the Boli Tubos are definitely going to be a bit strong for a novice and are certainly not economical at $7/stick for the No. 2 and nearly $8 for the No.1. The No. 3 is definitely not a cigar I'd recommend for a novice as it's the strongest of the three IMO and the small Placeras vitola for $4-5/stick is a terrible value.
