I know this is a sensitive topic, but here goes. If you take a Cohiba Siglo box out of your humidor. And the top cigar has a hole in the side of it.

Do you:

a. throw kerosine in the humidor and beg for hope

b. put everything in the freezer and hope for the best

c. Look everything over and if that's the only thing, throw it in the freezer and watch a ballgame or go get a good strong drink.

CB: I pick c

And don't think this came from here. A few singles with a hole, no bugs in box, but taste is ok.

That's all.

(Edit: meant as sarcasm: I did not care about hole)

That sure wouldn't cause me to freak out.  It doesn't look like a beetle hole, but it can't hurt to isolate the box from the rest of your stock.

Totally. Just sayin to calm down the occasional new thread here about this.

I am sure it was some kind of bug at some time, maybe one or two who did not succeeed.

Yeah, don't stress and smoke through it. If you happen upon a great flavoursome stogie, consider it a win!

That relaxes me a little then!

Don't relax too much. Never said they stopped probing us, just expanding their program.

Hey, what we do with cigars among friends is personal choice, brother.

But as long as there is good bourbon around.

As for holey cigars, hey, religious experience. But still we're fine lol.

The new, smaller sized, probes don't relax you:blink:

Probe size is relative to the subject.

Some have said the same thing after an alien "encounter".

If its a small humi, I would prob freeze the sticks, if I believed it was a beetle hole.  Large humi, freeze the box.  My first H Upmann Mag 56 came with a definite beetle hole (i got a single in a trade).  Unfortunately I smoked it and it resulted in buying several boxes of those expensive jaw breakers! ;)

Smoke it, it must be good if a beetle has picked this one to snack on out of all the possible choices!

I can totally relate. This happened with me with bourbon and watches too. And I introduce Mr Beaver as "my first husband" (31 years!)
