The Asian market as far as I can see from my few years experience has already had impact on the overall offering. I was in London last week and was speaking with a close friend who is a broker in the industry and we discussed the impact of Chinese buyers in the market. Simply put, if they want something then usually the cost is no objective and hence have driven up the pricing (at least in the secondary market). Some of these "low key" buyers have started posting on social media and they're collections are frankly astounding for lay man such as myself *jealous*

This deal is surely going to have more impact upon the rest of the world.

I have heard that firsthand here in Vancouver as well as traveling in Madrid. Cost would seem prohibitive to the average buyer in Canada, but like many things of status in this city, @torsion is exactly correct. Cost is not a concern. While in Madrid, at one of the better known shops, the proprietor, while certainly happy for the business, seemed overwhelmed by the manner in which his store was swept through by Chinese visitors. Is it a permanent major shift to Asia, or as some of the wine guys could better attest to, a trend that will wax and wane over time?

Bordeaux red wine and Champagne are two good examples of this happening.

... not to mention seafood!

Economies ebb and flow. Tabacuba should find room for this and take advantage of it, but it will likely turn to another tale of woe from the poorly managed company...! -Piggy

Sure, let's all be salty and generalize the Chinese.

Just curious about cigar production in a china ...

Do you know what cigars they're producing with Cuban tobacco? Never heard of any Chinese cigars. I wonder if they make any nice stuff

HSA-Distributors for China and rest of Asia-Pacific are different ones. Special Admin. Region HK-based PCC hasn't too much to do with Mainland China.
