luvdunhill Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Just curious - when slow smoking though a 50 cabinet, say 3-5 cigars a year... do you re-tie the ribbons to make sure the now-slightly-smaller bundle stays together, or just leave the ribbon and cigars to their own devices?
luvdunhill Posted July 19, 2017 Author Posted July 19, 2017 I leave them.I find that the cigars inevitable settle out to the bottom of the cabinet.... something like thisIf I re-tie them, I can keep them in their half-wheel-esque structure better: 2
LLC Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I leave them.Same for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JZBdano Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I leave them as is with paper in place so when I get to a new row I can pull them up with the paper if they've nestled in tight. 1
Stogieninja Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I cut them. Too much work to untie. Then I can just grab an end and pull if it comes to that.

Winchester21 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I leave them to their own devices until they become a pita then they go in the trash. However they become useful if you have to combine boxes for storage issues 1
fabes Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 When necessary remove the ribbon from the cab and use it to tidy up your customs.
garbandz Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 no longer a novelty for me, I untie and remove......... for those of you who are adventurous,I remember seeing several neat items made from box ribbons, including a smoking jacket.

TheLiquidGator Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I take the yellow ribbon and try to wrap it around the 100 year old oak tree in my backyard. 2
Lotusguy Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Re-tie? Now why on earth would I want to do that? OCD indeed.

Just pull out a stick at a time. 7
