Riverstyx Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 My apologies if this has been asked, but I didn't see it when I did a quick search. How many cigars do you typically have at one time in order to have a constant supply to smoke, as well as to age? I'm thinking I need to increase my stash. 1
Popular Post topdiesel Posted July 17, 2017 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2017 Here is the most recent (I believe) poll that asks this question. There are several of these posts over the years, but it is always interesting to see the answers. I have way more than I need and less than I want. 14
Frozen North Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I have 73 boxes....and counting. Drop in the bucket though.
RijkdeGooier Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 one or two It isn't really an item. For me, the enjoyment comes from smoking a cigar. How many can one smoke at once? 4
Popular Post prodigy Posted July 17, 2017 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2017 The real question is how many cigars does my wife think i have, and how many do i actually have? 27

Oh... you did a quick search? oh, haha, I have these in this one desktop here in the living room. Oh that other wooden box in the office? Haha, that... yeah oh that's a box I like, I just keep a few things in there. What cooler in the guest bedroom closet? Oh that cooler, yeah, that's just a cooler that I got at a garage sale and keep a few things in because it's not really a great cooler. So that's it, just those few in that little humidor there, no big deal, not an issue here, I don't have a problem. 9

joeypots Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 "No, it's not a box of cigars, dear. It's a present for you and now you've ruined my surprise." 2

Troels Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Been hooked since 2011 - think the beginning of last year was when I finally got enough. If only I buy what I smoke, the buffer is there to provide room for aging and diversity
JY0 Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Some things are better not counted. For my wife me, I'd rather not know. :+)
Popular Post TheLiquidGator Posted July 18, 2017 Popular Post Posted July 18, 2017 Unfortunately, more then I can ever smoke in my lifetime. Wish I had a son to bequeath them to one day. I do have a huge dachshund that chews tobacco, but does not smoke. He is one crafty bugger and will steal your cigars if left to his own devices. 12
cigarbigboy Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 95 boxes with roughly 25% aged over five years. 1

garbandz Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 " How many cigars do you typically have at one time in order to have a constant supply to smoke, as well as to age? " Every time I count the number rises. Therefore I cannot answer your question, nor can anyone tell you how many YOU need to keep.... Don't be embarrassed, BUY, BUY BUY.......... 1

Wertman Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I have 13 boxes. Started in April. I have been smoking before that but only just started buying boxes. I figure I will do about 25 a year for the next 30 years lol who knows
Popular Post MrGlass Posted July 18, 2017 Popular Post Posted July 18, 2017 Check out this topic from @JohnS last year discussing marca breakdowns in peoples humidors. @planetary then used some wizardry to collate this data into a spreadsheet here: https://goo.gl/INeNzE 5
Fuzz Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 How many? My previous answer in another thread still stands. "Enough to share with friends, for I cannot stand to smoke alone." 2
Lotusguy Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Still stopped counting - but not buying. Though I have to say that I have slowed way down in the last few months except when I see a sale or opportunity for something HTF that I don't have (enough of). 1
canadianbeaver Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Don't own any. Collection is goin' up in smoke. CB 1
