Hey guys thinking about heading to San Diego next weekend and was going to visit the LCDH in Tiajuana.  I spoke with them already and for a box of Emundo dantes 2016 is about 300 dollars.  I tried looking for reviews and could not find any.  So my questions are how are they?  Do they age we'll?  And are they worth the price?  Thanks in advance.  If they are worth it I might be able to spare a little coin if anyone was interested.

In my opinion, they are like a love child of Monte and H upmann.
I really enjoyed the one I had and that was pretty early into the first release, I think that they will age fantastic and would love to get my hands on another. For the price of 300 I honestly would buy them and if you are willing I'd love to get some as well

Definitely worth trying if you haven't already.  In the $300's would be on the cheaper end as well, since anywhere from Cabo to Cancun is just under $350-400.

If you could spare some space to bring over a box, that would be amazing as well.  Will send over a PM!

Cheaper to just order from here.

I'm sure they are, but if you're not quick enough they go fast on the 24:24

Considering this is a Mexico Regional, I doubt you will ever see any in the 24:24 here. If they were to show up, they would likely be much more than the $300 quoted.

I find it to be a very good cigar. My wife likes them as well. We've gone through 2 boxes already as they have been smoking beautifully. If they age like the other Edmundo Dante Regionals from Mexico they have a good 5-8 years where they become more complex and mellow out a little. The last time I smoked an ED 109 was about a month ago and to me they are past the point where I like them. I paid $315 a box when they first came out and if I had the funds would definitely be buying a few more boxes.

I think you mixed them up with the Montecristo Dantes LE 2016. The OP was talking about the Edmundo Dantes RE Mexico 2016.

TJ? Make sure they are real. At that price I would doubt...

It's the Tijuana LCDH. And they are real. Personally tested since 1996.

There are some singles on the shelf there again and I'd recommend trying one first at $33.

I think they are quite good, but the one example I had, and the other that my friend had a few months ago both had serious burn issues--in my case, it was borderline unsmokable. Others apparently have not had that issue. The flavors were a true medium almond-like nuttiness dominating. Very pleasant. If I had a better burn it would have been perhaps better. I thought the flavor could have been a 93-94 potential if performing as it should. Here is my review of it:

Is it worth $30-33 each? I personally don't think so, but these will surely hold their value, and if you think the profile is just the bees knees than I guess it may be "worth it" for you. I know I can purchase cigars that will score 92-94 for me right now for half that, so the EDCB is a pretty poor value. I'd personally rather buy a full box as an investment rather than smoking as these will likely double in value in 3 or 4 years. The Conde 109s have tripled in value in 10 years, and if you're willing to pay $2,000 for a box they still have one or two at the Tijuana LCDH, and probably some Conde 54 for probably $1,000/box.

I agree.

Great cigar with plenty of potential.

Same here, they seem very strong yet quite smooth, and very rich flavourwise. They need time to shine, but I'm hoping for something truly brilliant in a few years.
