Isaac Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I just wanted to give you a comparison of stick bough from elsewhere, as opposed to sticks bought from here. I was quite shocked at the deep rich hue on the sticks The Prez sent my way, and how sickly pale the ones I received else where were. It is nice to know that we are given quality products, and nothing but quality unless otherwise stated. I can't wait to try these new Montecristo. Left is the other place, and the right are from our host. 2
HectorLopez Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Were these a 24:24 offering, or from the FOH store?
havanaclub Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Wonder how the light ones smoke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ElPuro Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I agree the smokes here are excellent, though I would not necessarily discount cigars only on wrapper color. The key is how they smoke - try each type blind and see how it goes.
cigcars Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 * Those cigars on the left look just like Altadis' and General Cigars' "dearly wanna be's".
ThatAlfonso Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 The color definitely looks less appetizing but even beyond the color (as I know they color match boxes based on hue) is the difference in character of the wrapper leaf. Pale ones look almost plastic where as the darker wrappers have obvious oils, texture and look like a real leaf. Would love to have a review done on both at the same time. We can help if necessary....

I want to say they were hand picked. 7 hours ago, havanaclub said: Wonder how the light ones smoke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They have construction issues. Uneven burns, and I wanna say some of them have weak spots. You feel down the cigar and it gives a lot easier than other places in the cigar. Either way I'm gonna finish off the pale ines before I dig into the new ones
MahDooRow Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 No matter what you buy from FOH in the 24/24 sales you know what you're getting before you get it. @El Presidente is the best. Regarding those Monte #2, I agree that the cigars on the left look pretty unappealing. However, as stated by @ElPuro and @cigaraholic you can't always judge the quality of the smoking experience by the appearance of the wrapper. I've had some really good sticks that looked ugly. Some of these homely sticks came from our host, but they were sold as seconds at a very nice discount. Pics were posted and there was full disclosure. They smoked great and I was a happy man. 1

Vortigan Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Over time & through verification via the smoking process, I've come to the conclusion (which seems obvious) that it makes no sense whatsoever to not pay the few $'s more (and it is only a few) and have cigars shipped to you that have been personally inspected and passed the tests of someone who was, after all, passionate about and an aficionado of cigars long before being in the business of retailing them 2
BellevilleMXZ Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Agreed.....this place is the BEST! I love the 24:24, as the descriptions Prez. puts up is always right on the money, and this is so important for me, as I'm buying stuff I haven't and probably wouldn't have ever tried. There is NO WAY I would have the selection I have now, without input from the guys and gals on here, and reading the description on the 24:24. I could have gone to Cuba 10 times, and not known as much as I do now. 1

They are a few bucks more (USD) but well worth the service and advice given. As soon as I pay the credit card from my previous FOH orders, I'm buying more from them. Gotta be responsible. Being adult about buying cigars isn't fun most times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 2
Randy956 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Just remember....cigars are like books...Similar in that I feel a loss at the end of a good book and at the end of a great cigar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
