El Presidente Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 When i first watched the first vid I thought.....too slow, no zing. it was about half way in that I realised I felt like I was in cuba. No flashy vid music (except for the last vid which is brilliant). the noises were the same.....the PACE was dead set right. if you have the time, enjoy. 1
Zedman05 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 When I was down in November, I made it a mission to try small hole-in-the-wall places and other street foods. The first "sandwich" was something I found just walking around and the Cubans were grabbing them. Decided it was edible, why not. The "meat" was pork-like. Ok, but not great. The chicken, beans and rice, cabbage and a beer were only $1.25 CUC. Was pretty good too. This place was litteraly a cut-out in a wall that had a small window to order from. The third thing I ate a bunch of times was a Cuban Sandwich from a small shop in old Havana. Was REALLY good. It was fun walking around for a week finding hidden gems.
Randy956 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Yeah, makes me hungry, too. It's like I can smell it, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Santiago Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Those simple sandwiches are all over Centro Havana - Chorizo or hamburger type meat 5 CUP for the sandwich + another 5 CUP for your drink is a solid snack and refreshing relief from the heat 1
