Guest RobeAndSlippers Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Tricky, as it is unconfirmed and it's The Daily Caller, but not entirely unexpected... My apologies if this has been posted elsewhere: I only looked here. http://dailycaller.com/2017/05/29/exclusive-trump-set-to-roll-back-obamas-cuba-policies/
El Presidente Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Long way to go on this one and best to see what actually comes to pass. There has been a lot of US business time and infrastructure put into the Cuban business space since November 15. You would think it "difficult" to roll back in its entirety. 2
Winchester21 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 I sincerely hope they Trump concentrates on the important stuff like Keeping us safe, tax cuts, creating jobs. Stupid issues like rolling back Cuba policies, cracking down on pot and things that don't mean jack would be a big mistake. I hope that the Cuba thing takes a back seat to more important issues 1

semifan1 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 I was reading someplace that. Trump is being advised he should wait until Castro retires in 3-6 months and see what the next pres has in store for the people. As others have said above big US companies have invested a lot so far and it would be a big waste now to change everything.
luv2fly Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Saw this. I hope not. Was planning a cruise that had an overnight in Havana. Will hold off until the shoe drops.
Drguano Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Reuters and the Independent are also carrying the story. http://reut.rs/2qtTrMl The good news is 55 senators are introducing a bill that would remove all restrictions on travel to Cuba for US citizens. 2
TNT009 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Sounds like 'He' just want to undo everything that his predecessor did! 1
Wertman Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 I am surprised by this since Rudy G is a huge cigar smoker along with Rush. That they are not having any influence there.
