Zacapa 23 or XO?

So, I'm thinking of purchasing my first bottle of Zacapa. Do I go for Zacapa 23 or the XO?

Get the XO if you have the extra scratch otherwise the Zacapa 23 is every bit as good, to me any ways.

IMO: Start with the 23.  If you like it, buy the XO and compare yourself.

23. It's fantastic. So is the XO; but I keep 23 on hand at all times and rarely restock the XO (it does go fast however).

XO hands down for me. Best rum I've ever tried.  Not a fan of the 23.

I've had (have) the 23 and enjoy it and recently picked up a bottle of the XO but have not cracked it yet. Looking forward to trying it.

My preference? 23 is good for mixing in a cocktail such as a Rum Old-fashioned. XO is best enjoyed neat.

I enjoy the 23 with a cube of ice and the xo neat. Get both and check out your preference.

Had both recently, as part of my first foray into pairing rum with cigars....a brilliant match BTW. I thought the XO was excellent, but the 23 was ridiculously close.

I can not speak on 23 or XO because I just started drinking rum about 6 months ago.  What I came across and bought for the first time

was "Plantation" Barbados Rum aged 5 years.  And from talking to others and reading some internet comments for the money ($23.00 USD 750 Mil.)

Just got a bottle of 23 because it was on the shelf and a rare find around here. I am more of a bourbon drinker but I have collector fever. I admit it.

This is actually kind of funny. We like the rums from Guyana in short fat bottles? Been a while.

But I did not know it is selling for £188 now on the site where this photo is from. Yikes! Better keep my kids away from it lol.

Z23, Zaya, and Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva are all excellent with a cigar. The Diplomatico would have to be my favorite by a long shot.

Just to confuse matters there are these as well I agree with the guys above love the 23 but xo is far superior
