Popular Post BuzzArd Posted May 26, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 26, 2017 One of my all-time favorite size smokes. I like the Fonseca No 1 and I buy the Tatuaje Cazzies by the box as well. The Romeo y Julieta is no different. This box I split with a pal. A good pal, or they'd all still reside here with me. This one is always hard for me to describe. Seems I fall back into my younger "smoke I like vs. smoke I don't like" descriptions of my younger days. Y'all can figure this delivers the former, but the sour cherry notes are definitely prevalent. Not a perfectly smooth smoke at this age, it bites back just a tad, and the feedback is welcomed. Tartness and strength noted on retrohale, and I always get a little tear in the corner of my eye when I try, but it's worth it. Medium+ in body and full of flavor, this stick lasted me a full 1.5hrs. Burn got a bit off-kilter at the half, and that problem persisted. Compounded by the fact that my lighter ran out of fluid and it's hard to do a touch up with a match at 75mph, so I lived with it. Stopped in Sedona to look for Knob Creek bourbon that still had the age statement on the bottle, and I hoped I could pick up some butane to help get me home. No such luck on the butane, but I scored two bottles of hooch. Smoke was consistent in flavor throughout, but maybe picked up a touch of strength in the final third. A definite winner in my book. 7
Fugu Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Well done and great pic Buzz - anda favourite of mine, too!
2skinny Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I agree with your assessment of the Cazzie. Cazzies are great young and aged. The strength is just right and most of the time you get that nice cherry twang. Great review. Thanks!
