seville23
Following on from my post about recommended rums, any suggested glassware for drinking it neat or on the rocks? Given that a lot of store is put by rum's nose I was thinking about a brandy snifter or will a whiskey tumbler/rocks glass fit the bill? Again, many thanks in advance for any recommendations... Riedel - 'nuff said really, superb glassware. Those O series glasses look like they will be very comfortable in the hand.
TheLiquidGator
One without chips on the rim or a hole in the bottom. And clean is a nice bonus too.
LLC
Only have it as mix in which case I just use a regular glass or neat. If neat then if it is a good but "normal" rum I find a snifter works well but for really good ones (i.e. 20 year Santiago) I'll use the Ridel Vinum Hennessy glass I normally use for cognac. polarbear
I'll use what ever glass I can find that is clean I will often place a coaster over the top of the glass when I'm not holding it in my hand to trap the "nose" as well (similar principle to the caps you can buy for Glencairn glasses) If youre really concerned with the "nose" anything with a tapered rim would work
