I know.....it is forefront on so many of our minds :rotfl:

somehow...I don't think they are talking about a 12.5ft  fishing "tinnie" or inflatable.

For the record.....two strips of velcro to the side of the hull + two strips of velcro to a 12 cigar padded Otterbox/Xikar  works well.  Ash in the ocean. ;)

Posted this a little while back, this is my boat box. Works great for me as it perfectly fits Lanceros and DCs. I keep a paper towel in there to keep them snug. The lines on Jarrett Bay, ugh! What boats.

Haha, I saw that article on Boat International today. Had to laugh a lot, what a load of BS.
A good friend of mine worked on a 60m yacht, owned by an American, 8 years ago. One of her responsibilities was the owners stock of more than 2000 Habanos on board. They regularly sailed into Florida and never ever did CBP step on board and checked the interior!
Unfortunately she only got into cigars a few years after she left that job.

Here on board we store cigars for our guests in two classic desktops, an Elie Bleu and a smaller Dupont. Both nice boxes but due to the aircon in the interior they're constantly struggling to keep the humidity. We only keep around 30 cigars for guests and they barely ever smoke so it's not a big concern.
My personal stock on bots is kept in Xikar's and plastic containers, way easier and stress free when I go home for a few weeks! This way I always keep around 100 sticks ready for myself (just have to hide them when French Customs suddenly turn up and search the crew cabins like they did two weeks ago!)

Last week we sat here (Taha'a - French Polynesia), a boat full of guests:

I thoroughly enjoyed my first cigar on Monday after three weeks without a smoke! Tonight I'm off back home for some family time!
