What was the last new cigar release that made you go "Wow...Bloody Hell"

...the last one to blow you away at the first tasting.

....Cuban or non cuban....it doesn't matter.

They are always great moments. Rare as hens teeth. Think back...where, when, with whom.....paint the picture for us  .....

Not being a fan of Unicorn's milk, I cannot answer. It does make me wonder if it was the revolution that killed a traditionalist cigar mentality or if it just evolved? I cannot help but think the

Before the cigar boom that was pretty much how it was...the people I knew that were cigar smokers had a 'cigar identity' based on the cigar they smoked. Each of my Uncles smoked one brand of cigar in

The Dip Países Bajos was very good and showed great potential.

Alone, sitting near the beach, windy as all hell. I suppose you could say the cigar was secondary to the setting, so for me to take that much notice might indicate it's quality.

"New release" is a little broad...if we're throwing in all special releases in there I'd have to say I am the most impressed overall with the Connie A. Honorable mention goes to the Mag 56, which is quite a cigar but not one I could really embrace. Also been very impressed with the RA Superiores overall, although recent production has been a bit off from its peak IMO.

New regular production release, I'd have to say there's not much. I suppose the HUHC and Monte Media Corona are both pretty good.

Another vote for the Magnum 56 here.  I got some in a box split and every one I tried was incredible.  They were so amazing I managed to overcome the huge Aussie price and bought a box, which was something I never intended on doing.

I'll echo John's statement with the 2015 LEs.  The RACA was amazingly powerful and flavorful.  Not at all ready to smoke yet but so much potential.  The Magnum 56, and I remain that it is a stupid stupid cigar, is fantastic.

Trinidad Vigia has turned my head.

The Ramon Allones Club Allones was outstanding for me. I think partly it was due to the sheer strength of it, but also the flavour was quite defined and it grabbed my attention from the start.

I too agree with both the Connie A and the Half Corona. I was told by a friend, who bought 10 boxes as soon as they came out, to get as many as you could. He was in love with those HC's, and for good reason. I did say "holy crap these are great".

Upmann half corona ... best new release from HSA ever . Better new cigar than sigloVI or any robainas or Trinidad fundadores or or or ... got original release half coronas ??? Treasure them .

I agree wholeheartedly. Our late BOTL Bassman, eminent member of this forum, purchased 11 boxes of the original release!

Recent production is still good, and a great Q/P ratio, although not at the same level.

Mag 56, blew my mind.

Trinidad Robusto T, couple years back. I still remember it vividly. Smooth and creamy with a hint of tea. Took me by surprise because I didn't know anything about it. Bought it as a single. It was the first time I actually tasted tea in a cigar.
