Not new, but maybe new to some.  One man band in this series setting the bar for a cross between folk, blues, and rock.  Live stuff is far superior to his studio releases.  Roll The Bones has to be one of my favorites.....

Late July is just plain cool...... makes getting the electric chair sound like a walk in the park.....

Built to Roam is another good one to jam through.

Because it is Cinco di Mayo, some Rodrigo y Gabriela:

My son just bought 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders of Mars' by David Bowie this week. Time to re-connect with some classic David Bowie!

Been absolutely knocked out by Miles lately...     And I have to say Pablo Casals' interpretations of Bach's  suites for cello have been incredibly soothing.

Do Hollywood is the debut album of The Lemon Twigs. I discovered them about 5 months ago and can't stop listening. Took my wife to see them live and now she's hooked too. I recommend you find the album and throw it on repeat.

Just finished watching HBO's Big Little Lies and cannot get a couple of songs out my head... really great soundtrack.

Leon Bridges (River) & Michael Kinawuka (Cold Little Heart).  They both have long intros, but are great songs...

From possibly my favourite album of all time (album = songs you play in sequence with no skipping, like in the old days).  Songs written when he had no money and no label ie. songs he really meant.

Loved the Miles beats and then my teenage son was playing his trumpet and I thought, that sounds very similar, and asked him what it was.  It was Dizzy's night in Tunisia, another one I had to reaquaint myself with.

Listened to both the Miles and Dizzy versions of "Night in Tunisia".  Think I like Dizzy's better s here it is.

My favorite band.

Alter Bridge is awesome.  Mark Tremonti is a absolute wizard with a guitar and Miles Kennedy vocals are awesome.  Their new album is good (The Last Hero), however I think they drag the superhero theme too far.  Termonti's last solo effort was good too.

A good piece to break out of a music funk.  This is what all school bands should be like.

This tune is like a the best lancero you've ever had, fantastic progression, smooth, and a good few twists and turns. One of my ultimate kick back and relax picks

BTW, if you don't have a Spotify subscription it is worth getting one.  Best $10/month I spend.  Every Monday they push a "Discover Weekly" playlist to you that gives you 30+ songs you will probably like based on what you listen to.  It's creepily accurate.
