24/24 computer question

I buy most of my cigars from 24/24 with totally excellent results. Sometimes it takes me 3-5 minutes to access the site when it opens. I do most of my purchases from my I phone 7. Is the delay related to my phone or is this a server overloaded??  In many cases the prime stuff is all sold by the time I get on the site. My computer knowledge is next to none. Comments are appreciated

It has to be a server overload issue....I've tried accessing 24:24s from multiple devices and in most cases it takes a while to get in (3-5 minutes). Yesterday was an exception.

Good question Winchester21, since I'm a fellow luddite, I'll just wait for the computer savvy among us to chime in.

Definitely server overload. Too many folks trying to get there at the same time. No real way around it, traffic in those situations goes to who it goes to, all you can do it wait until the page loads.

Im thinking it is probably server overload.  I have accessed via an iPhone without issue..and have had issues on my home desktop, that has a better connection.  So I'm going with server.

This was seemingly the most epic crash in FOH history!  Gnashing frothing refreshing mob of cigar junkies.  Whew, it was exhilarating to be part of!

Yes, server trying to respond to too many "queries" at once (sort of like a parent with a bunch of kids) - someone has to wait!

Now, cell phones (I don't care which one - and what network) are ALWAYS slower than DSL - this is because their I/O is slower, not the phone or the network.

I've never had to wait the 3-5 mins - but then, I have a honkn fast puter with 32gb RAM and super fast DSL. So, given a race I'll get there before you "cellies".

Maybe that's why I am always 5-6 mins late and stuff already sold out. Because I am on my crappy iPhone 5s lol

A few hundred people hitting refresh over and over on their computer, iPhone, iPad, etc. overloads the server. I always access 24:24 from my laptop, hit refresh (once) and wait for the page to load. Sometimes it takes a min or two, but it will load eventually. To date, I've gotten every box I requested using this method.

I was thinking that, too. Oh well, I need to take a break for a while anyway.
