If the pile of boxes is taller than me...that's deep. Until then, its just "a lot"

10+ boxes of a particular code is deep for me, i.e. 10 boxes of LRE 2009 PSD4's...

Though I am approaching 10k cigars, I don't have more than 125 of any particular cigar. So I guess "deep"
is 100 sticks.

My wife would murder me in my sleep if I came home with a coolerdor or a wineador!

Me: I'm thinking of getting a wineador.
Wife: What's that?
Me: Basically a wine fridge for my cigars.
(Silence)
Wife: Is your life insurance paid up?
Me: Yup.
Wife: The kids' education plan?
Me: Sure.
Wife: Enjoy your hobby, dear.

Three boxes is the deepest I've been (HUPC) and that's only because they're being discontinued. Humi space at home is limited right now and I'm fighting like hell to resist the (futile) urge to scale up!

This forum never fails to make me feel like a dilettante

For me, "going deep" means I'm investing in a box. As in, one box of 25 cigars. I have a single 50 cab of Punch Punch. I just don't have the storage or the budget to maintain any variety and stock quantity, too. My wife would murder me in my sleep if I came home with a coolerdor or a wineador!

Amen!!! I've got a few boxes some 10ct and some 25 but I too would be murdered if she knew how much was spent

I've gone as deep as three 50 cabs. That's a lot for me but after 15+ years into Cuban cigars I have a good idea of what I like. Wallet wise, 4 cabs of PLPC might not be as deep as two 25s as, for example, Cohiba Siglo VI.

I'm about three boxes deep on a few things..Romeo Belis (which I am smoking as I type) and some nice PSD4s. The rest is a box or two of this and that.

Deepest I've gone is 4 boxes of HUPC since they were discontinued and there happened to be a great deal on them....Other than that, two boxes of stuff I dig...I figure by the time I get through them, I'll have already purchased more to make up and have some time on them.

I go more wide than deep. As opposed to dozens of boxes of a single Marca/Vitola, I stock just a few of each across the board. Maybe 7-8 of a particular stick tops.

Back a few years ago I had like 15 boxes of Cohiba Robostos. Dark red wrappers. They were from the desirable factory la Quinta or something like that. Sorry don't know my factories  I ran into storage issues and sold them off like an idiot. Given the shortage now I sure as hell wish I had held onto a few I am completely out right now. I keep hoping to see some pop up on 24/24. It pays to go deep

Insanity! Safe to say the RASS is your favourite stick?

This thread adds more fuel to the fire!At one point I was about 8 deep on PLMC cause I love the format and taste.I'm more in a similar mindset to @Habana Mike going wider than deep now.Recent news of discontinuation upsets me a lot and I have really limited storage.Thank all the deities in the universe for the OLH! ??
