irratebass Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Check this out, this may solve my dilemma with torpedos...which I am not a fan of. Anyone have or used one? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk 3
xtcat9k Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 i don't personally have one yet, but I know a few guys that have one and they universally like it. Seems to be the best design out there right now. 1
CigarAsh Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I just bought this one in the fall. Have only used it a few times but it's worked really well. The "poker" has small serrations to cut away some of the cigar inside, similar to the PerfecDraw. The PerfecDraw just looks a little "aggressive" to me. Plus, as a woodworking geek, I really like the feel and style of the Modus. 1
Cep Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 i hate this guy. I wouldn't mind one of these though. 1
MaxG Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 +1 on the Modus. Couldn't be happier with mine. There is a new version now as well. Available on Amazon. - MG
irratebass Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 That Modus is interesting, lol why do you hate him@CepSent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
RazorbackFan Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 +1 on the Modus tool. I use the nubber end on nearly every cigar. The draw poker works fairly well also, but I've split a few wrappers due to user error. I have the first generation model and it's just about paid for itself.
Dmpotocek Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I have a perfect draw. I honestly don't need it very often, however every time I have used it, it worked perfectly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
alloy Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Just bought one. A lot of my stock have tight draws. I took an 08 RASS out of the wineador (65/65), went out on the patio, cut it and was really almost unsmokeable. I rolled it around on my fingers and it loosened up a little. So i said what the hell and blew through it to see if the smoke production would go up and the wrapper split 3/4 the way down the stick. It opened up really nice and smoked really well after that. Touch ups were necessary, but it tasted like cinnamon and cocoa with baking spices. I believe it was overfilled the way the wrapper split. If I had had this perfecdraw device, the wrapper probably wouldn't have split. 2

JAS Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I bought the hype but haven't had the "opportunity" to use mine yet. 2

Popular Post HavanaSunday Posted April 1, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 1, 2017 Funny this thread came up. This am smoking a monte 1 the perfecdraw came in handy. Plugged just past the band and after two attempts draws like a charm. 5

chris12381 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 I have one. It's excellent. Bought two more for when I lose the first one. Watched the YouTube videos afterwards. 15 year old Magnum 50? You do the math... 1
MahDooRow Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 I sure could have used a PrefecDraw with a couple of Monte #2 that I recently smoked. Great flavors, but the tight draw really ruined the experience. I've smoked about 1/2 the box and so far these were the only two sticks with a tight draw. The rest have been great. Nevertheless, any stick with a tight draw is one too many. 1
alloy Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Got mine this afternoon. Will try it out tomorrow. Very fast shipping. Three days. 1
rhcolbert Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Neat concept. I need to get something like this 1
clutch5150 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Pretty good comparison here. Most can go to the ten minute mark to bypass a looong intro to basic cigar build stuff. http://cigarobsession.com/2016/10/17/perfecdraw-v-modus-cigar-tool-shootout/ 1

Stick burner Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 irratebass This topic is perfect timing for me, I have 2 BCG's that have firms spots in them and I don't want to go through the hassle of return shipping only 2 cigars. The Modus looks sweet and it's a 3in1! 2
