Des Dieux, if I could find them.

From those currently available, cab of PLPC. Both as a smoke now and to age.

I'm going as deeply on BCGs as I can. I've already bought a box, and plan on at least three more...that still counts, right? ^_^ I plan on smoking through one box and let the others nap.

Do you think we will see many more? This currently would also be the cigar I wouldn't mind picking up a number of boxes of. Snagged some from our host over a year ago and they have to stay at the bottom of my other cigars so I don't blow through them!

I would go for Punch Punch (as long as it is current production). I need to pick up a few more 50 cabs while I still can!

You didn't specify if it would be current production, or discontinued, or Limited Editions or Regional Editions.

My most recent and most fantastic cigar was a 2002 ERDM Tainos with factory code ECA. If I could buy that cigar again, I would load up the truck, the trailer, the boot and every other container I could. A close runner up would be Punch 2002 Super Selection #2, also with factory code ECA.

If I had to stick with current production, I would likely go with Montecristo #1, a great balanced cigar that feels, looks and smokes nicely - although it does have burn issues that I'm not pleased about.

I don't really smoke LEs or REs, so I can't offer much with respect to these, but I would much rather buy regular production cigars over the overprices limited ones.

mine would be a cab of Punch Royal Selection No 11 - i have only ever had 2 of these and i would love more of them! they would be to age and smoke now.

Nope not gonna play, not going to think about something so terrible as 1 box (even if a 50 cab of SLR DC)....

I smoke 1 a day during the week and 2-3 on the weekends....

I buy 2-3 boxes a month and often more if spliting/sharing/gifting.....

I get cranky when my I am not having to try and fit cigar boxes into a tetris like game.

Nope it would be tragedy and I am not going to even consider it :)

I'm not trying to play a game, I'm just looking for the best smokes to start my cc adventure. There is no right or wrong. I am new to cc, haven't even smoked one yet. Just trying to figure out what to start with. Thanks Brian ?

Sheeeiiiiiiiiit

One box!?

Well, that's 2 per month plus an extry for halfway between the kids' birthdays, so either

1 complete box of well-kept Por Larrañaga Magnums (would still like to try one some day)

OR

a semi-aged cab of RASS (2-5+ years)

Hey Brian,

I wasn't trying to be mean....I was just joking around that it is really really hard to think in the terms. Makes me have horrors of being told I can't smoke as much as I do or have the variety I enjoy.

Now if you really want a serious answer then I will try....

First assuming you mean 25 cigars when you say "buy 1 box a year" then the answer is "don't".....Cigars need to be matched to time of day, meal, weather, beverage, mood and more. Also budget is a huge factor....1 box of Jose Peidra is $55, 1 box of Cohiba whatever is 10x that, and aged stock can be 20x that.

So here is what I would do...

Figure out what your annual/monthy/weekly budget is and either order a variety of singles from Rob here or start splits with guys like me (if you are in the USA) or other local to you. That will allow you to spread your budget around.

Otherwise if you are looking to try the ageing thing....

I would get something spicy or flavorful like Bolivar, RASS, VR, SCdH and try 1 stick a month from delivery till done and see how they change.

Enjoy

Lance

Then the answers to your question won't help you. One box a year? No one will answer "El Principe" or "Monte 4"" "Partagas Short", while these cigars are many member's favorites…

25 or even 50 cigars a year sounds like a nightmare to those who smoke 1 or more a day, everyday, since more than a decade…
