Popular Post Hurltim
So my anal retentive streak got the best of me and I decided to make a Cigar Review Sheet for myself. It has drop downs for marca and cigar name and auto populates the ring gauge, length, shape and factory name. There are drop downs for flavor ratings, cigar strength, etc. I left two blank spots for images of the bands if you want to add them. I use an Ipad and PDF Expert so its easy to add a photo of the bands and additional pages for photos of your review. Feel free to spot check it, find problems, improvements etc. This is for personal use only. I am not trying to make any money off of it. It's just for fun. Thanks to CCW for providing all of the info I used to fill the dropdown lists. Right now, it just has Cuban info. Any comments are appreciated. Enjoy! 1LegLance
Great work... When I get home I will try look up my pdf of the sheet I use...the main difference is the upside down cigar along the left hand edge that allows the notes to flow with the area being smoked at that time. It also allows me to mark where I finished the stick so I know if it was a nubber or an early departure. Thanks for posting.

oliverdst
Great. I would just add a 'price' cell. Maybe the 'purchase date' could be split.

I use PDF Expert on my Ipad to do my inspection reports.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using TapatalkI've tried a few different apps from the Google PlayStore, it must be modifying something when saving because, a lot of names aren't showing (example RyJ Short Churchill, Quintero Favoritos), it's also not auto populating the RG. I highly doubt it's your file but a limitation within Android or my tablet and something corrupting along the way. And in my defense, my experience with pdf on mobile devices is extremely limited, so on my end is not exactly a recipe for success. Lol. At the end of the day, you've done some great work with this!Sent from my Samsung Tab S2 using Tapatalk

Hurltim
Updated it and changed strength to body, fixed the dropdowns, added price and combined date and time (this works kind of wonky in Acrobat Reader but awesome in PDF Expert). I will look into the Android problem. It is probably my horrible script writing. LOL! I have an Excel version that works very well (better than the PDF actually.) I am just too cheap to buy the monthly membership (Microsoft can eat a bag of...). LOL! I tried to get it to work in Google Sheets but the validate data in Excel didn't transfer. Lets just say I won't be quitting my day job to write Javascript apps.

merkonakis
Color me impressed. If you ever did this in app form that updates new releases, I'd be all over it. Maybe a humidor version. Love it.
PigFish
Nice job amigo. I did one myself some years ago. I tried to unify a cigar review a group was doing in an attempt to actually quantify the data. As usual I was after proof of a brand 'profile.' I rather wonder if I still have a copy of it. Cheers! -Piggy
PigFish
... so you peaked my curiosity and I found this on an old HDD. This is the last version I worked on... circa 2010! -LOL You might say that it has been some time ago that I wanted to quantify such things. A funny anecdote; I remember it getting heated as several of us debated exactly what to put on the form... -LOL Cigar groups are so silly sometimes. For me it was important to separate taste from sensation, and add 'characteristics' other than taste, complexity, for example. So here is mine, circa 2010! -Piggy _Cigar_Companion_V3 test.pdf
