Quick update for anyone interested. I'm back from the trip. While there was a tiny amount of Cubans available for sale, they had legit ones and fake ones in the hotel shop. The guy tried hard to convince me they were the same and I got sick of listening so I walked out. The ones that were legit were insane expensive. CoRo was $38/stick. BHK 56s were $129/stick. Fake CoRo (absurd the bands they tried to use here, should have taken pictures) were $10. Glad I brought plenty with me.

What about Punta? Enjoyed?

Yeah loved it. It rained quite a bit on our last day but our room had a jacuzzi outside on our balcony overlooking the beach. Perfect spot to smoke a cigar and look out into the ocean. Food was mediocre but to be expected in an all inclusive. Tipping definitely goes a long way, lots of people around us complained throughout the trip but holding out a dollar when you want something both gets people to help you and more importantly remember you so that your stay is positive the whole time. The staff was not very attentive to people who didn't tip, which although sounds pretty rude, makes sense given the amount of people from non-tipping cultures that were there.
