Coffee. Guinness. Inis & Gunn. Bourbon.

And I like milk and sugar in my coffee. And I love lattes.

Tea only when I am sick.

So there.

If it's between coffee or tea, it's coffee for me.  And it goes with any cigar at any time. Morning, noon, or night, unlike scotch.... No comments from the peanut gallery please.

I feel the same way.

But then again, anything in the Scotch, Irish whiskey or bourbon families turn me into a maniac, so better do society in general id I just stick to cigsrs and coffee!?

Coffee plus an aged PLPC= Caramel Macchiato.

Makers Manhattan plus an RYJ=Morello Bliss.

I find that coffee, almost across the board is a great accompaniment to a CC. Secretos tend to be chocolate overload but for some reason, the coffee cuts the chocolate a bit and allows some of the classic Cohiba flavors to seep through.

I usually have a dry latte, unsweetened, when I smoke. I have a burr grinder and a decent - but not great - espresso machine. I use a dark roast Nicaraguan bean from a local roaster that has a nice chocolate aroma and isn't too acidic. I've used Cubita in the past when I can find it, but I haven't seen any at my usual sources for the past year and a half.

I recently tried and really enjoyed a Monte #4 with a black stove top Costa Rican coffee. The natural sweetness in the coffe brought out the richer flavours in the Monte for me. That said, the strong coffee probably masked some of the more nunced flavours in the cigar

I might reach for a cup of coffee to enhance a flat, one-dimensional cigar if I find myself stuck with one, but usually I'm pursuing nuances of the stick so hard that coffee would get in the way. Weaker coffee might be a solution, but I can't bring myself to drink it.

I have a friend who swears that orange juice is the best palate cleanser, period. I disagree with him. I drink water or coffee when smoking, that's all.

Some of the better restaurants will give you orange sherbet between courses, so there must be something to it?  I prefer water, scotch, porter, reds, et al depending on the time of day and meals.
