For the money I've found a very good product from Barbados called "Plantation Barbados Rum .750"

$24.99 Aged in bourbon casks then shipped off to France finishing in cognac casks.

Love the stuff and the price point is well worth it.

I'm a big fan of Plantation too. I typically drink the 20th anniversary XO. I'm told it's a mix of 16 & 18 year old rum.

Just had a sip of some 20th and saw this thread right after! Seriously great rum.

Thanks for the heads up on the XO.  I think it is well priced here in the states.  I will add that to my

rum rotation.  Just have to make sure the wifey does not use it up for cooking.

Also been drinking some 4 year old sochu (sweet potato saki) like it better than

the rice saki.
