Popular Post Warren Posted January 17, 2017 Popular Post Posted January 17, 2017 Today exactly one year ago our good friend Mark Murace ( Bow Tie ) decided to take that fateful climb up Mt Tibrogargan in the Glass House Mountains just north of us. He never returned and we miss him to this day. Tonight I will smoke one of his cigars in tribute to a true gentleman and a friend. Rest well Mark we miss you. 17

PigFish Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Sorry for your loss guys! If there is one consolation, it would be that he was doing something that chose to do and loved in the end. -Piggy 2
El Presidente Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Bloody hell, a year already. Miss your smile and laugh on the deck mate.
Dave001 Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 sorry for your loss, having lost a few buddies on 9/11 I know exactly how you feel, I shall light up a vintage monte 2 in his honor
Dijit Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Never mourn those who pass living life to the fullest. Fight the blues, salute with a smile, and wish all who knew him a grand day as he would it seems prefer. I never knew this person but I wish you all a smile a great smoke and a good drink in his remembrance. 1
Baldy Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Bitter sweet. Celebration of a good life and friend and a longing for what could have been with a void that only time can maybe fill. Sorry for your lost. As an avid outdoors guy myself, it would be the way I would like to go when my time comes. Enjoy the cigar in his honour.
OZCUBAN Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Well said guys spoke to him at every Havanathon ,one of life's TRUE gentlemen trips to Brissy for the Havanathon will never be quiet the same especially the next one we are are all poorer for not having him in our presence anymore Rest in Peace Mark 2
Fuzz Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 When I snapped that pic at Havanathon, never crossed my mind that that would be the last time we would meet or speak. Will be lighting up one of his cigars this weekend in his memory. 1
Warren Posted January 18, 2017 Author Posted January 18, 2017 Thanks for posting the picture guys you are a great bunch of mates. Did you just get together for this picture or is it one from last year. Perhaps we should make it an annual thing. The Herf for Mark day. Just pop on a bow tie and post a picture of yourself toasting Mark. 2

JohnS Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Well, it's no coincidence that @Jeremy Festa is in the background there, @Fuzz? Mark was the second last guy to get his caricature drawn ( @Cuzz and I were the last) at Havanathon and he showed me it after it was done. I'd love to see it again because it captured him so well. Rest in Peace, Mark!

JohnS Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 I think we need to check with Will. Definitely we were amongst the last to get one...they were great. But it was typical of Mark to be gracious and think of others, (he was) so humble and unassuming.
